I am using MTNL's Broadband service for quite sometime only because it's the cheapest provider and i have no other option.
The internet connection drops every 15 minutes then I have to wait 15 more minutes hoping it starts.I am not paying to be kept waiting!!(My core issue)
the call agents are of no help they directly ask you to book a complaint....then what are they there for!.
There is no one to speak if your calling after 8 pm.I believe for a 24 hr utility there should be a 24 hour customer service.The only thing I liked was that the complaints I had booked were looked at and had immediate response.
There were three disconnection while submitting this complaint.........

    My landline number is 26514319. I have ssubsribed to "Unlimited Broadband usage" connection for Rs.999. For the last 1 month I have been facing a problem of frequent diconnection of the broadband service and there have been days when the connection has been non-existent. I have lodged a complaint with the 198 and 1504 helpdesk numbers on sevral occaions. i have personally gone and met the Sub-Divisional Engineer of the area I reside in and have even attempted to give a written complaint but everbody I met at the Broadband Service Department avoided accepting the complaint letter so apart from the dates of complaint and docket numbers I do not have any documentary evidence.

    Kindly advice what I should do.
    I think the supervisor of wadala branch Mr. abdul ansari is just a salary for nothing. He is good for nothing whenever we go to there office ( wadala), regarding the iternet complaint they evn dont have respect that how they should speak with the customers it, s like they are paying to us not we. So please take some necessary action on this and make your valuable customer happy.

      i have internet connection of MTNL from last two months i getting problem in my internet service i also submit the complaint thourgh internet one complaint no is :-90561via internet, second 654 via internet,third 10 via phone. i also contact to sanchar haat but when i reached there all staff confirmed me that we are on strike and no one will be take action on your complaint. when i asked for some senior person name to contact they abuse me and said disconnect the phone if you have any problem. Now after my complaint one MTNL staff person is came to my home to repair connection and he take revenge from me and disconnect my landline now i chasing with MTNL but there is no postive response from them.

      i also wrote mail to CEO of MTNL and area manager but still not get any sollution.

      mail proof attached for your refrence.

      Now plese help me out .

      they are not taking action against the complaints.
      My area Line man of MTNL asking for the Bribe (Everythime) for repairing the line & Branch SDO Mr. Pal is not taking action against the bribe as well.

        This is to bring to your notice about the broadband coonectivity issues. This is related to the phone no. 25951318 KANJHAWLA EXCHANGE . I am using broadband net services from last few years. From the last few days, I am facing the net connectivity problem. Mr Pathak in kanjhawala exchange said me to call directly to exchange for any connectivity problem. so I directly used to call in exchange instead of the customer care centre.On my complaint someone visited our home day before yesterday to resolve it, but he said that this is the cable line problem and will be resolved by the next day. Today when I called Mr. pathak, he replied to me that " hum kya kare" "Aapko janha complaitnt karni h kar lo." .

        This is my request you to please take necessary action and resolve my This kind of problem of Connectivity

        kindly tell me the concerned person who can resolve my net problem ASAP.

          Dear Sir,
          This is to inform with regret that I have decided to discontinue my Broadband service with MTNL. Reason being I had been through very bad experience with respect to broadband service. I as facing problem of disconnection of broadband connectivity very frequently.

          I had lodged complaint for the disconnection many times in past. Many times I had taken online help of 1504. They say that there is a land line fault, so you dial 198 and book your complaint. Technician would come and fix the fault. Then technician come at my building and verify the same and probably resolves the problem temporary. However, same fault comes later again.

          Many times land line customer support team says there is a problem is with broadband and says to talk with online help (1504). The problem is not been resolved properly. Last Month, I had lodged complaint of frequent disconnection of internet on Dt.[protected] vide Doc No 3806. Mr. Rohit from online help 1504 had created this doc no. He told me that somebody from exchange would come at your place even on Sunday and resolve the problem. However nobody had attended the complaint on Sunday. When I followed up on Monday[protected] with Charkop exchange on 163, Mr. Yadav (Technician) had called me and committed to come at my building at around 3:00 PM. However he did not come at the site. Then Next day (i.e.[protected] also he did not come. Mr. Yadav called on Dt.[protected] and committed to come in 1st half of the day. However, still he did not come. He does not even care to inform about his reschedule and time change.

          I had taken leave on Dt[protected] from my office with the intention that the problem would get resolved. However the full day was totally waste.

          In addition to this, when I tried to follow up for my complaint on 163 and 1504, Nobody was taking ownership for the same. Nobody gave responsible answer to me. They were blaming each other and customer’s problem stood unresolved. I think nobody from customers support team understands customer’s situation. Truly, I have experienced that the people from your customers support team talk very indecently with customers.

          Even I had been misguided by online customer support team (1504). I had been facing problem of disconnection of internet since long time. Support team had suggested the following IPs.
          IP: 192.168.1.72, Preferred DNS: 59.185.3.12, Alternate DNS: 59.185.0.50
          However, after lot of try by customer support team, fault has not been resolved then they suggested me to dial 198 and lodge a complaint to exchange as they said that there is a land line problem.

          At last Mr. Yadav from exchange came at 3:00 PM on Dt[protected].

          He checked my land line and he found everything is OK. He says there is no problem in land line.

          Then, he himself checked the problem of dis-connectivity of internet. He observed that there is a fault. He was not able to identify the fault. Then he checked IP Addresses configuration of my system. He told me that there is a wrong IP addresses configured in your system.

          He suggested following IP Addresses configuration,
          IP: 192.168.1.52, Preferred DNS: 59.185.3.11, Alternate DNS: 59.185.0.50.

          Finally, the dis-connectivity problem gets resolved after configuration of new IP Addresses.

          Mr. Yadav concluded that customer support team has suggested InCorrect IP addresses.

          I am frustrated with this. Frankly speaking, I am not satisfied with the service provided by you. I have taken this decision to discontinue broadband service with MTNL. I do not understand if I am paying my bills on time then also I am not given proper service. I believe that customers are not being treated properly.

            Due to frequent follow up for my complaint against for internet not working
            still my cmplaint not attended.
            MTNL is soon going to be a history. I believe, it has always come to our expectations in providing a worst service and crumbling infrastructure. It was a blunder when I decided to take MTNL broadband and despite numerous complaints to the helpline 1504 and calling up the exchange folks, all we have succeeded in doing is piling up complaint numbers at home.
            Since last week I am compalining about the triband problem, but no one is responding properly. & no action against our complaint. Customer support is very poor. Charkop telephone exchange's (telephone number[protected]

            This is the worst kind of service I have come accross.

            Respected Sir/Madam,

            This is with regards to the broadband connection i am using from mtnl. My telephone no is 25690464 and my connection is pathetic. I am using broadband since a month.I was very reluctant to use MTNL and i think i was correct. I had no other option as there is no other service provider in my area.
            Complaint handling proccess is even worse. The language operators use is very outrageous. They are not aware of what they are saying
            nor they know about the lineman when he will check the connection. They dont take the responsibility of what they are doing. Time that we
            are provided for complaint is 24 hrs in which nothing gets resolved. We are asked to call area manager by taking number with help of directory
            enquiry service. The number that they provide never answers. Please look into my connnection problem as you are charging huge money for broadband
            as Rs 800 P.M. and i cannt bear this kind of service anymore.

            MTNL Triband — Poor Service, Customer Support

            - Poor service, service uptime monitoring shows 86% uptime (monthly average. Respectable service is >99%). I faced too many outages during online conferences/purchases.

            Is there any way I can sue MTNL for mental harrasment?

              Dear Sir ,
              I have the MTNL landline connection more than 10 years but I have not made the single complaints since than. The connection is in my Father Name Mr. Mintu Jha and the number is 28705866 and I have also the Broadband connection . But the service offered by them is not acceptable at all, the issue is very small but the way they are interacting with the me on phone is very bad . From last 2 months we are not receving the bill so we have made the payment late and my line is also disconnected it the month of October due to non payment so its understandable due to non payment my line is barred, But if any one not received the bill than How any body can make the payment But after that I have made the payment and I have also given Complaint of not receving the bill for last 2 month in Kandivali west Branch at counter no. 8 which is for inquiry and complaints , so he has taken my address again and assured me that nxt time I will receive my bill but the same is not happened and I have also asked weather any thing will be charged me he said no bcoz you have already paid late payment charges. So this month I have received the bill which has charged me 100 Rs. for the reconnection so on the same day that is on 23/11/10 I have called to their consumer Help line number 1500 tahn she told me that this department is not looking for this complaints so she gave me 1 number which is 28012345 which is not working. Sir if the MTNL has their call center so why they are not taking the customers complaint and they make customers run here and there . I again call the call center number she told me that they dont have any other number so when I asked her name she just hung the call. Than I have called the Public Grievances number which is printed on the back side so the response that I got from that lady is that Our department is not looking for this complaints so please call to malad finance or personally go thir, I have called almost to every number which was given to me from one person to other There numbers are 24326161 CGM,28013873 DGM finance [protected] account officer from maghthane not a single person has picked thir call. some how I was able to get the number 28013873 The DGM for finance I have a word with the lady which is clerk over there and told me that The DGM is not in the office gone out. So I explained her that Since I have not received the bill so how can I make the payment , If i have received the bill npt made the payment so I am liable to make the payment of reconnection charges. So she told me that the mistake is not from there end and not yours so I told yes so I have already paid the late charges so I just want the adjustment of 100 Rs from your side .so she told me that she will explain my issue to her seniour officer and get back to me within 24 hours but since than I have not received any call.

              Sir its not the matter of 100 Rs its the matter If the customer has not receivd the bill and he is geniune than they should give a discount to the customer. When I told to that lady if they will not resolve my issue I will make the payment But than I will disconnect my connecton so she told me that U can disconnect your line but first let me spoke to my senior officer.

              I request you to please look into this matter and help me to resolve my issue I have gone through a majour operation in the last month of october and I my not in a condition to run here and there

                My telephone number is 25700927. I am using MTNL Broadband from last 2 years. I am writing this on[protected] at 1 a.m. midnight obviously because of being frustrated. My internet is not working properly from last 2 months. It is disconnected now from last 1 week. MtNL linesman Mr. Yadav comes in and keep making excuses. Even his senior keep making excuses. I have lot of work on internet, hence am losing lot of business. Due to this, i have to purchase tata photon for internet connection.

                    I HAD APPLIED FOR MTNL COMBO OFFER 495 -UNLIMITED OFFER WHICH MEANS WE GET INTERNET CONNECTION UNLIMITED AND TELEPHONE LINE .

                    I RECD THE LINE IN 2 DAYS TIME , MY NUMBER IS 28313502, IN ANDHERI EAST , CHAKALA , FOR THE INTERNET CONNECTION SOMEONE FROM THEIR COMPANY CAME THE NEXT DAY- DID SOMETHING ON MY COMPUTER AND TOLD MY MAID THAT THE LINE IS STARTED , HE LEFT SOME IP ADDRESSES ON MY COMPUTER DESK AT HOME .

                    I HAD NO CLUE WHAT NEXT FROM THAT DAY 12TH NOV 2010 TIL DATE NO ONE HAS CALLED TO INQUIRE WHETHER THE INTERNET LINE IS NOT WORKING , I HAVE REGISTERED MY COMPLAINT-- NUMBER OF TIMES , I JUST GET THE MESSAGE ON MY MOBILE NUMBER THAT PROBLEM RESOLVED TICKET CLOSED .

                    I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND HOW THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED WITHOUT ANYBODY REALLY COMING TO OUR PLACE AND THE INETERNET LINE REALLY STARTING

                      my no is 29891303, and i registered complain for internet and landline since 21 of august 2020 and even drop mail to senior management .but till now none bother to visit my home or call me to fix my issue. my father is old they kept visiting mtnl office sarita vihar. but my ded telephone and broadband issue not fixed.

                      Big concern they talk with customer like a uneducated people specially customer care people on call. and expert to hangup a call. really daily i call to custmer care they says "ajj ho jayga issue fixed .mtnl will visit and all" but always fake commitment .

                      in this pandemic my old age father keep visited to their office (sarita vihar D peocket and janta flat m pocket too) but they keep throughing issue on each other department and keep making fake commitment .

                      Big surprising is last 20 days internet not working but MTNL Bill came on time without delay.

                      really i am working in IT and can understand now why MTNL is going lost his name and fame due to such time o[censored]n professional behaviour, third class customer services and no manners to talk even with old age people.

                        This is Tilak Jha from Delhi. I applied for transferring my telephone cum broadband connection from Pandava Nagar, Delhi[protected] to my new flat in Aayanagar, Delhi-47 four days ago. But there is no response from MTNL. It's customer care lines are dead and nothing is happening. I have complained for two successive days on 1504 (complain no. 6540009 and[protected] but nothing seems to be happening. I don't know what to do.

                        beg to say that i having your internet connection broadband service up-to unlimited with 512kbps connection,
                        but i cant access internet because the problem is after every 10 minutes your connection is lost for approximately.
                        so kindly please take any action because i complained many times but no one giving any response . kindly please take action immediately.

                          regarding this i have registered complain on 13/04/2011 of docket no. 10. But no action has been taken yet.

                          So kindly do the needful action due to unavailable of broadband having too many loses please do some action ASAP
                          My telephone number 27045964 is not working since 1st oct'2013. I have registered a complaint on 3rd Oct'13 for which I got docket number 702 but to vain. then I went to grievance cell 3356666 on 7th Oct'2013 where I got complaint number E1058. After taking follow ups from them for one week to which the lady on the phone always respond that I am forwarding your complaint and someone will come and the phone will be ok by today evening. But no one attended to my complaint for one week. Then again on 14th Oct'2013 the grievance cell gave me another complaint number D97. Still no one is working on it. I want to ask whether it is the cost we are paying for being a MTNL user ? MTNL is not responding to a customer's complaint even grievance cell is not able to work on it. Shame on it. you should better close down MTNL. Let the diwali come and your technicians will be at door to collect diwali gifts. I would like you to take and work on my complaint seriously.

                          We are having 2 telephones land line in our premises, but from the last one year we are only paying the bills.Now, our telephone are not working from 2 months your line man comes & complaint about cable fault, pair fault etc.
                          I was having 5 land line MTNL pones but due to this problem now i have only 3 land line. Is this service will be off this type i have no other option except disconnecting these numbers ahead.

                          My MTNL phone (land line) has been dead for 7 months and it has worked off and on during last 18 months. In spite of multiple complaints made personally to employees/officials of MTNL in Naraina and Shadipur depot, no action was taken. Complaints made online have never been attended.

                          Am shocked at the terrible quality of customer service by MTNL employees. With terrible service and no usage of phone ( not even one call made or received for more than 6 months), I still get bills every month?

                              The broadband connection on my telephone number[protected] has been performing erratically. The ADSL light never remains stable for more than a minute and starts flickering off and on.

                              Nothing happened after that. No one from MTNL even asked me about the problem. I again telephoned customer care and this time they said that I should get in touch with Area Manager (Rohini), New Delhi. I contacted him on 01th Nov'2010 after many dial attempts and he said that it will be done.

                              Thereafter I received a call from MTNL asking me "aapka Internet theek hai?" Before I could say that it is not the phone but the internet which is faulty.. the official disconnected the phone.

                                We had recharged our MTNL Trump Mobile No.[protected] online vide our HDFC Bank Credit Card for Rs.125 /- on 18.10.10. The transcation was successful and Transcation ID was TPSL 98005.

                                On 01.11.10, we lodged a complaint ( Complaint No. CC [protected] ) with the customer care, since the amount paid online was not credited to our talktime nor the amount refunded back, every time we were given different answers when we called up the customer care.

                                On 10.11.10, we sent an E-Mail to [protected]@mtnl.net.in giving details of our problem, but till date there is no response from MTNL.

                                We request you to kindly help us, and do the needful.

                                  There is still no reply from your department yet, as i would once again request you to please dont get your consumer troubled becuase of your technical or any problem i.e. internal department of MTNL.
                                  Note:
                                  Even though Mr. B.N. Ram (DGM SKN) told Mr. Gaikwad to bill me total 1000 MB as actual usage in my disputed bill, in which 600 MB is free as per the plan i.e. COMBO plan, and all that was also told in front of me and my father, then also there is no step taken from your accounts department.
                                  Also they were i.e. accounts department were pretending as if they are unaware of the amount debited from my account for the disputed bill and other, also Rs. 1100 is also charged to me by my bank for ECS bounce of the next disputed bill.

                                  Would request you to get this resolved at earliest within max 7-10 days, cause the same is pending more than 2 months.

                                  I am Vikas S Dangi from sakinaka having a landline connection no.[protected] bearing CA no as [protected].

                                  This is with reference to the complaint given by me dated 19th October, 2010 at your sakinaka division regarding the false and highly billed for broadband usage and the copy of the complaint is attached with as Annexure A.

                                  Later when there was not any satisfactory reply I made a second complaint by email to your helpdesk, Vigilance and also to the Consumer Forum online and the copy of the same is attached with as Annexure B and Passbook details as Annexure C.

                                  For the above complaints I had met Mr. Panchpande and later I was called by Mr. Ram (DGM SKN) for resolving the issue mutually.

                                  But when I got the revised bills for the same disputed period after being mutually agreed, the bills given to me was not as per discussed and also when I had checked online for the bills, I noticed that the payment for the disputed period was also debited from my Bank Account via ECS.

                                  I have an ECS facility for MTNL bill payment from last 2005 and is still continued in which I have a Limit of Rs.1,500/- (i.e. Less than or equal to Rs.1500-). Then too the amount of Rs.(Debit Amount) is debited from my account without any information given to me in the month of July, 2010 and also the same was shown balance in the next bill. Also the amount of Rs. 810/- is debited form my Bank Account in the month of September, 2010 when my line was totally dead, both Voice and Broadband. Also the other ECS was also raised for the payment of disputed period for which i had got the ECS return charges as you can see in the passbook details sent.

                                  IT IS CLEARLY A CHEATING WITH THE CUSTOMER AND I WILL NOT BEAR THIS AT ALL, SIR. YOU CANNOT DO SUCH THINGS WITH A CONSUMER.

                                  I would strictly protest the way the Customer is being ill treated at your MTNL office i.e. ME. One Mr. Gaikwad at your accounts office at Marol does not even have that much courtesy to speak with the Customer in proper manner and also it is moral duty to explain the customer if any doubt of question is being raised by the Customer. On asking the FAX no Email also he says that I don’t have that and you will have to come personally i.e. the Customer has no JOB, if any problem arises the customer has to leave all his work and go for the resolution as and when called by your officials.

                                  There is also one more new problem that is arised now is,, the non payment of about Rs.460/- for the bill of July 2006, which is being asked to be paid now. For this, could you please answer me that how can the bill be pending for more than 4 year and when I make any query regarding the bill I am asked to pay the same and when I have an ECS why the bill was not raised and why I was not given any intimation for the same balance bill either by phoneletteremail or any.

                                  I would like to request you to reverse all my charges debited from my account for ECS returned, otherwise there is no other option to fight for this kind of GUNDAGARDI in CONSUMER COURT and i am very much ready for the same, as mentioned in the previous COMPLAINT.

                                  Sir, I would also request to please look into this matter very seriously and resolve the same, otherwise for the consumer who is cheated and that also by the organization like MTNL there is no other option for him to approach CONSUMER COURT for relief.

                                  Please do the correct to your Customer and don’t let me loose FAITH from MTNL where we have a SLOGAN as “MTNL HAI TO SAHI HAIN”, I would request you to please don’t let this SLOGAN a FALSE SLOGAN.

                                  Currently I have a combo plan i.e COMBO BROADBAND and was regularly using internet since long. My internet usage is limited, there is no extensive usage as you can see my history o[censored]sage, which also reflects in my regular bills. I have a ECS facility for bill payment.
                                  Now the problem is that i have been billed by your billing department for Internet i.e. BROADBAND usage very highly which is totally false or may be mistakenly billed. I had also given an complaint letter dated 4th August, 2010 at your sakinaka telephone exchange in which also i had mentioned the same. There are two bills as follows
                                  Bill No. [protected] Amount 5,229/-
                                  Bill No. [protected] Amount 4,522/-
                                  Both the above mentioned bills are totally fasle or mistaken bills.
                                  Once again i request you to please look into this matter at earliest and resolve the issue or else i will approach CONSUMER COURT for the relief.
                                  This is a clear cheating with the cunsumer and i will definately take you to the court for such a behaviour with the customer.
                                  It is not like that i cannot pay the bill, but why should i pay for the bill which is not used by me and i am damn clear about it. I am not a new user for MTNL i am your consumer since so many years and you can check my previous records, so i would request you to please look into this matter.
                                  My landline was also totally shutdowndead after this bill in the month of July 2010 on 2nd or 3rd August 2010 itself then also i am being billed by your department regularly for the dead line and the bill amounting to Rs. 810/- bill no. [protected] is also cleared by ECS from my account. In this bill they had charged me for 611MB broadband usage. I want to ask you one thing that "How can a consumer use his Broadband with a dead line" Please explain me the same.
                                  The sakinaka division of your MTNL has sent me a letter dated 31st August, 2010 in which they had mentioned that they are giving me the rebate of 2000MB in the bill for broadband usage of both the months of MAY & JUNE duly signed and stamped by Mr. DC PACHPANDE (DE SKN). On this i want to tell you that i had not used the broadband as mentioned in the bill and does not need such favour, it is clearly a cheating with the consumer. It is very much clear that either there is some technical mistake or someone else must have used the broadband and that is being billed to me.
                                  It is also mentioned below that "If you want to avoid excess billing it is advised to go for suitable unlimited plan" which i feel is a funda of your department to send false and high bills and compell the consumer to turn to unlimited plans.
                                  Dear concerned once again i would request to please do the needfull and correct the bills or else i will have to finally approach the CONSUMER COURT for futher reliefs and will also demand for the harrasment and problems faced becuase of disconnection of line for such a false billing.

                                    Details of the Case.-
                                    Made complain on 198 and without solving the issue they close the complain.
                                    Made complain in their web also. They visited and issued solved for 8 /15days and again same problem.
                                    Contacted over telephone to above said nos and persons visited and unable to find their fault.
                                    The problem is with my line only and other lines have no complain of frequent disconnection.
                                    The team from pravadevi visited 2 times and gave solution, but the problem is same.
                                    The first visit[protected], changed aired wire of about 10 mts, splitter, modem setting
                                    Second visit[protected], changed modem only.
                                    The team in their last visit started unnecessary, rough, arrogant behavior and told me to take hathway or tikona connection and threatened to stop the connection or make the connection unusable.

                                    (I was told by the team that the problem is with computer, line plug, telephone instrument and even if the whole area. Them came with screw driver and predict the whole area is having induction. Their linemen do not understand broadband singals. He can give you a telephone line in working but why internet is not working or how much signal the modem is getting is not his concern. When the area ADSL engineer advises to change the line pair, actually full line pair is not changed and the linemen with his heads like DGM, GMs are reported that the line pair has been changed. My problem remains same and the exchange makes billing and I have been paying. They do not show interest to solve.
                                    If the probme is solved for 8 days or something a new problem they create slow page opening, slow speed of data serve which is not as per my plan. Stop showing usage log. Sometime they delete the logs also.)

                                    Till today I am not getting the line to be uninterrupted connection .

                                    Plz sned me and the MTNL MUMBAI Depts suggestions and advises regarding the issue

                                    personal use — Broadband frequent disconnection

                                    Hi,

                                    I got Broadband connection at my residense for porsonal use. It is a 899/- unlimited plan I need to download good amount of data from the web. But I can see the connection gets interrupted when I leave the system unattended for a few minutes. Even wehn I'm browsin the web connection becomes idle. It is very embrassing when an important chat is going on and an important mail is to be sent and I find NO CONNECTION. Kindly resolve the problem as soon as possible.

                                    I am a frequent user of Broad Band service, for the past 2 months the connection gets disconnected. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to be erconnected, sometimes more. The response is very slow it takes more than 15 minutes to download a page.
