Hi Team,

It is to bring into to you kind notice that I have been charged rupees 900 as breakage charge in bill number [protected].I don’t understand why these charges have been implemented on me.i was using MTNL broadband but I decided to disconnect the broadband because I was facing access issue because of the modem and other apparatus as they were faulty and 2nd handed.I complained about it several times as during the time of installation of broadband at my home and all the devices were not the new but they where already used one and i told them not to install those 2nd hand devices but i was told that MTNL has stopped making the devices so they are installing old devices .And all the devices got faulty one by one within few days.After that someone came to replace them with other 2nd hand device .Because of these old devices I suffered for almost 3 months and I was paying for nothing at all and if you check my data report for last two months before I decided to stop the services you will find it only few bytes have been downloaded as your 2nd hand devices were faulty and not running at all.And when I disconnected my broadband i mentioned same reason as well.Now what is more disappointing is that I have been charged 900 bucks as breakage charges as those devices where already faulty and 2nd hand and every lineman or executives know this truth but still I have been charged.
I want you to please look into this issue as i felt cheated by MTNL and please revoke the charges.

    Re:Complaint against MTNL Delhi for faulty instrument and no Dialing tone
    Phone No.[protected]

    With great regret I am sorry to say that my instrument is faulty and lying dead on every other day. I made several complaints in this connection but of no use. This is the case when I have never been a defaulter in paying the bill since it was installed.(can be checked).

    For past Ten days, I am lodging my complaint against this faulty phone on their portal almost every day but to my surprise, when I check the status my complaints, it is removed every time without giving any effect to my complaints and the
    message would appear on site : “There is no pending complaint against this phone” what does it mean.My phone is lying dead for past two weeks.

    Do I have no other business to be done except making complaint again and again to concerned authorities.

    I request you to please look in to the matter and give necessary insturction to redress my grievances at the earliest.

      maine peechhle month 599 wala mtnl ka unlimited Surfing & Downloading connection le rakha tha to 31/5/2011 ko raat 12 baje se pehle maine kuchh downloading ki jise mtnl ne mere is month (june) me include kar diya h jo ki nahi hona chahiye so please take a good action about this problem as soon as possible thanks.

        i am not able to make and receive any calls.
        i have registered a complaint but no action have been taken.
        some customer care executives disconnect the call in between the conversation.
        and one more complaint i had lost my sim card and had gone to sanchaar haat for the reissue of the same number and reissue took more than 10 days which is done with in 24 hours by other cellular operators.......br...

        I am using rs999 plans and i am getting 5kb speed for download from past 2 - 2n half months. I am tired of complaining, i complained for broad band internet service. I left for work, these technician comes and says to my mom, that he is a telephone technician and not broadband technician and he goes away, saying internet guy will come on some other day, which he never showed up. I am pissed off. If i call to customer care number, these ladies keep on talking all about market, vegetable to their colleagues over the phone and always say one thing, server me problem hai (There is problem with the server) and hang up. Mtnl sucks, please do not go for mtnl, i miss my relaince, it was expensive, but better customer service. If i visit their office in nerul, they send me to visit each and every technician. Some of them also ask for money. I also paid once, but still nothing happens. Isn't mtnl paying them? Their bill is always generated on a perfect date and all, they sit in a friggin ac room, why the hell is the service like this? My complaint no is 1666.

        Indians will never improve india. Its a shame.

        The worst part is bohoth maharashtrians and bhaiya's keep on fighting and these are working together in mtnl nerul office. Not only that much, i must say remove these old useless people, who can hardly move of their chairs and hire some youngsters who will work, keep some management. Record the calls, rectify the friggin problem inside as well and mine too, since i am paying 10% of my salary for this service.

        i never had any bad experience with mtnl but
        reliance broadband is a money sucker that what can i say
        i had a reliance wireless with max download speed of 28 kbps and 1 GB free usage fix monthly charges or 1k if over 1 GB 2rs/MB normal 4MB song used to take ages to download then my bill was 1.5 k and above

        mtnl i m using dsl unlimited 666
        Surf at 320 kbps from 8 am to 10 pm and from 10 pm to 8 am you get a speed of 1 Mbps. Sundays (full day) you can enjoy speed o[censored]p to 2 Mbps.
        i agree the services not that modern but when i complain abt problem then attend me within 2 days they don't ask any charges but my dad is very dayalu type
        with mtnl magic key is to select right plan
        i live in goregaon MuMBai suburbs
        Nerul MTNL for internet connectivity sucks like hell old bureaucratic people discussing about vegetables eeee, Ideally there should be some compensation if the customers claims are are correct.

Sir, the problem started 2 months back when the MTNL official changed my modem, it has ruined my connectivity. Despite several complaint some of which are as below

          FUTHERMORE, I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST YOU SIR, IF MTNL IS NOT CAPABLE OF PROVIDING A PROPERLY WORKING BROADBAND CONNECTION, PLEASE TELL ME, IN THAT CASE I WOULD LIKE TO SURRENDER THE CONNECTION BACK TO MTNL.

          Hi,
          Its been near about 3 weeks now that my complaint had been registered as 'urgent' by the MTNL folks, since then I have registered numerous other 'urgent' complaints, but to no avail.

          The attitude of MTNL employees when addressing a customer complaint is nothing short of pathetic, there seems to be a total lack of accountability, with the customer care officials blaming the inefficient line man who does not respond to the complaints while the line man returns the compliment by saying that he never recieved any complaint.

            we are putting up with poor network since 3 - 4years & of late the instrument is defrctive. mtnl is in no position/ interest to address our problems. they keep replacing the instruments wit old ones which just fail to work .we are forced to look for alternate service providers.
            also the attitude of staff at the exchanges is pathetic.

                I have been using Mtnl for the last 7 years... I'm using the unlimited download plan . I used to get good speed of about 200 - 210kbps. But since two months I'm getting very low speed of 20 - 25kbps.
                I tried online help at 1504 at least 100 times (Check records) but no response, of lately all they say is put complaint at 198, The guy calls and asks Is phone working and disconnects the call. It's foolish on their part to direct the broadband complaints to phone not working category.

                I hope this forum is not just a archival forum with no action whatsoever. Please put us all out of misery.

                I am having a MTNL broadband connection, from last 1 month it is not working properly, I have registered my complaint at the MTNL office, customer care and also at the Govt website http://www.consumercourt.in but still no reply. All the Govt department are same either they are MTNL or consumer court people.

                  Hello Sir/Madam,

                  Ref: MTNL broadband issue for telephone no 26301409 / CA – [protected] in the name of Mahima Nand, House no 321, Rajpur Extension Colony, Chhattarpur, New Delhi – 110068.

                  This is to notify you that I have been facing MTNL broadband issue for the past three to four weeks and I have been following it up with the local Chhattarpur branch MTNL office where the atmosphere of that office seems to be in disastrous state. It seems no one is responsible for any task, either they are busy having endless tea breaks, lunch breaks at 11am till 3pm after that 4pm onwards they need their tea breaks and for MTNL broadband users they are just least bothered about their issues.

                  Actually, the issue is for whole Rajpur Extension colony. Everyone is facing the same issue that broadband lines are down for the past one month and the chhattarpur office is not raising any steps to rectify them but they are just busy giving the excuses that line men’s are busy. But let me ask you the line men’s are busy where? They are busy with local farm houses connections as they have the power to get the work done? Whenever we go to local management at chhattarpur , they say that firstly line mans will rectify farm houses phones and broadband then they will contact us but they never contact us and again we need to take a holiday from our office (private job) just to get our work done hoping that it should be done in a day but it lingers on for the past four weeks now.

                  When last time, i went there day before yesterday (23.05.2011) to surrender my MTNL broadband connection they said you don't have to surrender, we will rectify your connection today but it goes for a toss. Since then it’s been four days and no one has taken the action but every time they are busy with their breaks.

                  If this will be the ongoing case then I am so sorry to say that Indian mass will lose their faith in government offices and on their workers.

                  Kindly let me know if you can help us in this regard or not?

                  Otherwise we will just simply go ahead and surrender our connections in spite of all the difficulties that local chhattarpur MTNL office will try to give us and would opt for private USB net connections which are easily available in the market and not that expensive.

                  Hoping that MTNL will take the action towards this and matter gets resolved and our faith in MTNL stays intact again and the local public stay happy.

                    My above land line Number's outgoing is barred since yesterday.I even tried complaining on 28072198 but the complaint cant be registered on that no, and i even tried complaining on your website but it says DNP : Fault booking not allowed at this stage.None of my bills are outstanding as of date and still i have to face this inconvenience.

                        Subject : problem in download speed

                        Respected Sir/ Madam,

                        At present we have the Broad band tariff plan DSL unlimited 1599. Office number is 22036187, gives me a speed of 1.344Mbps. in the initial month the speed was good but after that it has drastically dropped.

                        The in charge at each of the following numbers is not available at any time of the day and even after several complains to 198 the issue has not been solved. Time to Download: 67.107second(s) Your Bandwidth: 672.70Kbps (0.657Mbps).

                        We have also met Mr. Barathe, last week on 11th May 2011. He promised to solve the problem next day itself. He still has not solved the problem.

                        If you cannot solve the problem, then we have to switch to different company for broadband services.

                          Same as Mr. Khushi lal, I have purchased a MTNL Connection 3 month before starts with 9013... in muradnagar region.The network is good when we are in outside environment but when we enter in a home, mobile shows no network.
                          So you are all requested to do improve your service in that area i[censored] can't then stop the service from this area. why you are harassing the customers by giving this type of service.

                            I have been a MTNL Broad band user for years. Of my loyalty with MTNL, i have never been satisfied with the services.

                            This complaint is after I can not take it any longer.

                            Had registered a complaint on the toll free number vide Compliant No. 64200037, dated 05th- May'2011, for Modem not working & no broadband connectivity.

                            Till date no one has bothered to address this complaint. Please get my fauly MODEM CHANGED.

                            While i keep paying RENTAL for unused services, i would like lodge a serious complaint against the department.

                            Hope after this some action is taken & the department wakes up & performs what is expected from them.

                            Complaints made all genuine. MTNL staff has a most lethargic approach towards doing their work for which they get paid. My telephone was shifted from Sarita Vihar (Ph No[protected] to CR Park (Ph No[protected] on 30 April 2011. I had broad band connection at Sarita Vihar but MTNL though given me the phone connection, has still not given me the broad band connection. As a result I have no internet access for the last 25 days. I am told that that the people at Kidwai Nagar Cannought Place are not responding. I would like to know why is delay taking place? Are the concerned people looking for bribe to do the job?
                            [protected]. I have been facing problem with my internet connection since last 15 to 20 Days. On my modem the DSL light was blinking all the time. I have lodge complaint about the problem many time but every time the customer care executive gives me the assurance that your fault has been rectified with 24 Hrs. But not it passed 20 days, and the problem still continue. 4 days past an engineer also comes to my residence and he checked the modem and by changing something in the IP the internet was start running and he said now your internet is OK and he signed the complaint form that the problem was resolved. But at night again the same problem comes. the DSL light blinking again and again the internet stops working. After that I again complaint many times but no one comes to my residence to check the internet. I also directly contact to the SDO of Rajouri Garden and they also just gives me the assurance.

                            Now I am fed-up with the MTNL Internet service and I m thinking to switch to some private operators.

                                I HAVE A SIM CARD ( MOBILE NUMBER :[protected] )& ADDON SIM CARD OF MY WIFE FOR MTNL ( BOTH TRUMP),
                                WE HAVE ACTIVATED 3G IN OUR PHONE BUT THE 3G CONNECTION IS NEVER AVAILABLE INSIDE OUR LIVING AREA.
                                INFACT THE SIGNAL STENGTH FOR THE MOBILE IS SO LOW THAT WE HAVE TO KEEP OUR MOBILE NEAR THE WINDOWS TO RECEIVE & MAKE PHONE CALL (FORGET 3G VIDEO CALLING - FOR THIS WE HAVE TO GO IN THE TERRACE OR JUST PEEK OUTSIDE THE WIDOWS & MAKE 3G CALLS ONLY DURING NIGHT TIMES).
                                MY SISTER IS ALSO HAVING TRUMP CARD & SHE STAYS AT CHEMBUR ,BUT ALSO HAS THE SAME PROBLEM.
                                I HAVE CONTACTED THE HELPLINE MANY TIMES ,BUT THEY JUST GIVE A COMPLAINT NUMBER & TO DATE NO OFFICE HAS CONTACTED ME REGARDING THE PROBLEM.( I AM NOT SO SURE BUT ALL THE OTHER NETWORK ARE GIVEN A BANDWIDTH THROUGH BY MTNL,BUT WHY IS MTNL SIGNAL SO WEAK OR ARE THEY DOING THIS ON PURPOSE TO FACILITATE THE OTHER OPERATORS)

                                PLEASE LOOK INTO THE MATTER URGENTLY.

                                  We are getting MTNL Telephone Bill Regularly, But Telephone Line is Dead Since Jan,2011.
                                  We are putting Complaint on 198 plenty of times, meeting line man time to time but
                                  getting no response.
                                  Recently I sent mail to Area Manager (Rohini) on 6th May,2011 but also got no response.

                                    I am Ravish Arya from Nangli Sakrawati, Najafgarh, New Delhi 110043. I've applied for MTNL telephone and broadband (Triband combo unlimited plan) connection on 20th December 2010. They provided me a receipt with Customer Account no.[protected]. I brought that receipt to the lineman Naresh in the Telephone exchange of Najafgarh. He told me that the connection box is faulty and there is no way to provide you a connection. I met with the S.D.O of the same telephone exchange. He took my contact number and told me that he'll call me up after contacting with the concerned department. And he never called me up. This is my problem. Someone please help me!!!

                                      I had requested MTNL mumbai to change my DSL 495 combo plan to 999 Unlimited on 11th April 2011 the plan has been effective from 12th April 2011 but my speed is coming of 495 plan which is 40 kbps and it should come 1mbps for 999 unlimited which till date after giving 20 to 30 complain and regularly I am calling for there 20 -25 days they say there is problem with server it will be shortly solved or its the problem with exchange kindly donot call on holidays cause it is not working and may such reasons. Kindly help me with this cause the bill will be charged from 12th April for Rs.1000/- and 180 for phone but in combo pla it was 495 and they will charge me for new plan which is 999 and giving me speed for combo 495.

                                      Now the Bill is charged and still I am getting 40 kbps speed and they have deducted 500 for security deposit which is already taken by them when I had taken thier services that was total 1500 ...now what more they need

                                      MTNL — TRIBAND UNLIMITED IS NOT UPDATED SINCE 12/04/2011

                                      After giving so many complains

                                      Speed 999 unlimited plan 1mbps but download speed is 40kbps for Phone No [protected]

                                      All these dogs are the same! There's no difference between them.

                                      We need international ISPs to enter the Indian market and teach these fools a lesson.
