[Resolved]  MTNL Tri - Band — Frequent disconnect & worst customer service

MTNL is the Worst Internet Service provider

I have used several internet connections but the worst kind of internet service in every aspect is by MTNL “Tri band”. I guess the name is correctly kept as (TRI BAND) “KITNA BHI ‘TRY’ KARO INTERNET HAMESA ‘BANDH‘ HI RAHEGA”.
The connection goes off in every 2minutes, My Maximum free usage & valuable time goes while connecting to internet again & again it’s rather more about keep connecting rather than surfing & downloading. Its understood that the amount charged by MTNL is least as compared to other service provider but that doesn’t mean that as a consumer we are liable to take any kind of service they provide. Its not some social service they are doing every MB used is charged by them so what happenes when it comes to providing service.

Some of My experiences with MTNL service
 Connection goes off in every 2-3minutes
 It takes hours to load pages which contains pictures
 WORST WORST & MORE WORST service experienced by the Customer service Representatives

 15-20 min of long call que before the call gets answered by some CSR

 After picking the call the CSR agent ask other lady in marathi “AAJ TU DABBAT KHAAYLA KAI AANLA AAHE??” than she starts with her call opening.

 Even without properly listening to an issue they just issue a Complain Number.

 If asked some more questions to CSR they just give the number of Deputy Engineer of the respective area where nobody picks the call

Person making the house visit for solution of the issue answers “Sahab mai naya hai so I don’t know how to fix this issue”

 There is no commitment on the part of any of the service agent who are acting as Point of encounter.

 Best answer got so far from a CSR “What should I do if your internet connection is not working!!!”

As a User of this ISP I would suggest every one who is going to opt for this ISP as his service provider to think 1000time before filling that application form for connection.

So as consumer right Do I have any right to speakup against a government undertaking who is providing worst sort of service to its customer without any improvement even when the several complaints & objections raised against them???

wat can i say, u have explained my frustration fully. JUST FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST MTNL IN CONSUMER COURT!
I have MTNL triband connection since the last 6 months. Uptil now, I was getting a bill of Rs. 700 p.m., this month suddenly the bill has gone up to Rs. 2500/-

There was other complainants who were complaining that they were getting a bill of Rs. 3000/- even when their computer was down for the month...

When you go and complaint to MTNL, they show some statistics, which has been downloaded at VSNL office. They are unable to provide details of sites visited, how much downloaded, what files etc.

Very un-cooperative attitude, they asked me to change the plan to Rs. 999 unlimited plan.

I changed to cable modem, Rs. 400 /- p.m, unlimited downloads. Thanks to MTNL, I got a cheaper and more workable option.
