[Resolved] Nathella Jewellery — Bad quality of Gold with very high price | |||
I purchased gold for my marriage on July 2010. NAC has advertised that Rs.1000 off for each 8gms of gold. Due to actor Vivek advertised this Nathella Jewellery, we visited the shop. But they charged 19 to 21% wastage for each gm and they didn't do any extra discount at all. When compare with other shop, actually they charged 12 to 14% wastage after Rs1000 discount. For name sake they advertised Rs1000 discount and charged 19 to 21% wastage, which is equal to 12 to 14% wastage. Since we spend whole day to choice the jewels, we didn't have chance to leave the shop and do purchase in another shop, so we paid all the amount, what are asked. They created a big problem in calculating the total amount, which made me to pay extra Rs7000. Even though they charged high, the quality of the gold is worst. With in one month, my wife necklace was broken and fell down in the road, luckly we got it, but 1grm part of the necklace has missed in the road. Silver leg chain also become very black in 6 months. Finally the gave very very bad quality mangal sutra ( mangalayam ), with in 6 months my wife's mangalyam has damaged. Which cannot be changed or removed. I don't know what to do with this shop. Never go to Nathella. They are run by the group of criminals.
I had a similar experience where in they insisted that there is a problem in the billing machine and didn't give the receipt. Later they are claiming that they didn't give the money at all ... And it was a huge sum... They are the worse ********.

Yes agree with this...Still they are cheating the people by putting more wastage in gold ornaments.
I went to Nathella, Velachery for purchasing a gold chain because I have some Special Diwali EMI offer for my CITI Bank Credit Card. The sales man said 14% to 18% wastage for 8gm gold chain. And I immediately left from that place. I think Nathella feels that the people are still in 1990's. Then I went to my hometown and purchased a 8gm gold chain in Lalitha Jewellers, Madurai with only 5% wastage. Not only Lalitha, there are lots of jewelleries selling ornaments with less wastage like GRT, Malabar, Bema, etc... So people beware of Nathella and don't get mesmerized in their Ads.

GRT is also doing the same...Based on my previous experience I thought that they are offering less percentage. But they are also doing the same. I just went for inauguration function of GRT at Madurai. They have given the Ads like 50 Rs/- discount per gram. But they are selling 4gm gold ring (Casting Type Ring) for 18% to 19%. By pretending like giving 50 Rs/- as a discount, they are cheating people by putting 300 Rs/- more on wastage. Then as usual I went back to same Lalitha Jewellers and bought the same casting type 4gm gold ring for 8% wastage. But customer service is so worst in Lalitha Jewellers.

I have the Gold saving scheme with your organization it was payed at prompt time without any delay. Once year scheme finished and started the new scheme for another one year. We went to get the Gold coin for my upcoming birthday. Once when entered the staff was not minded us as if we have not seen any Jewelry Early. It was really hurting us my mom asked for the gold coin they did not response properly we had the intention to get the bracelet for me. I refused to get there because of the bad behavior of the staff. They was ready to response and calculate and tell the details. My mom took the paper and noted down the details This was really unacceptable. Me and mom walked from the shop and went to GRT to purchase the Bracelet which is next to them. For the Kind attention of the Propertior of the Nathella take a immediate and necessary action on this to avoid the business loss.

It's true
Had Worst customer service at Nathella, Hosur during last 2 occasions (once during Diwali 2014 and today - 10/may/2015). I had no choice but buy with them as I had joined their gold & silver savings scheme. Poor craftsmanship - can't even make a replica of an existing jewelry purchased at GRT, and you still argue that everything is manmade. With this attitude they are sure to shut shop soon in this competitive market. They do have some very good employees but one bad employee can bring a bad name to the whole brand.
I went to Nathella at Tambaram yesterday to get a diamond ear ring and they charged me 18.5% of wastage and a heavy making charge . The making charge of Rs 6000 for a earing. And it was also not a complex model just a stud with 4 stones. Finally i argued with the Manager about the making charge and wastage and he was damn rude to me. He didnt even wait for me to respond . He just said something and walked away and that too the shop was not crowded.

2.Exorbitant wastage being charged for even very simple model
3.Very hard to bargain Tough people
4.Gold saving scheme is no use as they are not ready to settle your claim rather they will further try to extort the money
5.You will get calculation errors and surprises. Buyers may easily lose their tempo
6.Gold revaluation is somewhat I found very steady process. Could be better.
Overall I wouldn't refer anymore to anyone.

NAC T NAGAR ... Worst service my bangle broken within 2 Months. Also they didn't answer properly for the broken item.. They just want me to go out of the shop. Very very worst
