Nokia 6233 Mobile — Low quality product.
I purchased one Nokia 6233 set on 05.10.2007 from a Nokia dealer at Kolkata @ Rs. 8090/-. The set was warranted for 1 year and to my great surprise it is experienced that just within 1 month after passing the warranty period the external memory card, received with set at the time of purchase, went defective. The battery started loosing its back up within a day and the phone is having trouble in getting the signal and networking. Mostly it is getting hanged. The battery is showing bulge and getting heated when charged. Further the LCD went defective after its warranty is over. I sent repeated request to the various levels of the company for necessary repairing/replacement of the set. But they did not bother to co-operate me in this regard. Lastly I made the LCD repaired at my own pocket. Now I have to replace the Memory Card and the Battery by myself.I hope we the every consumer of India expect that when we purchase a product, it should serve our purpose at least 2 to 3 years from its purchase unless otherwise its period of wellness is clearly mentioned by its producer. In my case the cost of the product was Rs. 8090/- and it is quite expensive as per my capacity. I purchased this costly set with a hope that it would give me a trouble free service for a longer time. I choose Nokia as its brand name attracted me and now I am moaning for my decision. Neither I can throw away the set nor even I can go for its every repair with my own pocket money. A am suffering a lot for my this purchase. A company like Nokia should not sale a product like this which
goes on defective just after the warranty period. In this case the customer is bound to get it repaired at his own expense as it is happened beyond the period of warranty. It seems that there is some timer to look after the time of defective. It is not expected from a company like Nokia and I, a consumer of India, like to express my deep dis-satisfaction over the quality of the Nokia Mobile and like to ask the company to pay more attention to the quality of their products in future and not to cheat its customers by selling low quality products. Hope I will get the necessary support from the Indian Consumer Forum in this regard.
