Nokia 5610 I — Automatic Switch off and display error

Nokia 5610 I IMEI/ESN NO [protected] had an issue of getting automatic switch while on call gave it for software check up on 17/12/10 and the issue was resolved however after recieving the phone evening the same day got to know that the display light is not working went to nokia service center( sanman mobile in mathikere) they serviced it and said is fine however in the evening noticed that the error is not resolved went back to service station for the 3rd time and gave the set for servicing again now the representative says that the display is gone and has to change it costs 1800 they say that i have to pay the amount my question is why did they accept to check the set the second time i visited they would have told me the same not happy with the service or the resolution bcoz i dint have the display problem until i gave it for servicing looking forward to hear from you hope i will get a resolution for this contact number [protected]

I have received the same message in my phone as probably thousands of other people. It' s easy for me to see that this is a vicious scam. By going through the pages here dating from 2008 I do not understand how these criminals can do this year after year without being discovered. I have not seen any letters from Iceland so probably they are starting to operate here. I will warn other Icelanders by going to the newspapers.
They have sent this 3 times to my phone already: Congratulations, we are celebrating the 40th birthday of Nokia etc. You have won 600.000 GBP. Claimcode EMAJN -email [protected]@hotmailco.uk. The number they called from is[protected]. As most people here are asked to call a number in England I expect these criminals could be tracked down. Hope the police (or Interpol) will be able to do that.
