Nokia Odel N1202 — Non availability of service centres

I have purchased a NOKIA model N1202 mobile set on 3.11.2008 from Wavetel Stores at R K Mutta Road, Raja Annamalaipuram, Chennai 600028. The mobile set suddenly stopped functioning and I tried to charge the battery but in vain I took the mobile set to Wavetel from where I purchased it and I was surprised when I was told that the mobile set has to be taken to the NOKIA service centre situated at Teynampet Chennai 18, the only service centre authorised by the manufacturer. When I requested them to accept the mobile set and send it to the service centre, they refused and insisted that I should handover only at Teynampet which is quite far from my residence at Raja Annamalaipuram. Nokia, for the number of mobile that they sell in a metropolitan city like Chennai should make arrangementrs to accept the defective mobile set for verification and repairs, at difference centres instead of confining to only one centre at Teynampet. I fail to understand how the mobile set could become defective within 9 months of its purchase.

Can we approach the consumer court against the manufactuere for the failure to provide service centres at ther same place where the set has been sold or create service centres in each and every locality in Chennai City. We have not been informed that in case of any defect or failure in the mobiule set, we should approach their service centyre at Teynampet only.

I completely agree. Similar things have happened with my 6300 model and Nirmal Enterprises Ranchi are playing the same tricks.Nokia & their Care Centers are bloody cheats! In fact the quality of Nokia Mobiles has gone down drastically and so has their Sevice Quality. People should avoid buying Nokia Mobiles.

I have receiveda S M S from Nokia saying:Congratulations, you your cell phone has won 500.000 paunds in the ongoing Nokia UK Promo!Is it true? Please inform me !

Sir to have recieved an mail from Dr Anthony fom UK saying that i have aGBP of 200, 000.00 pounds in the UK NOKIA PROMO 2009 and they were demanding 315 pounds as freight charges to deliver my parcel at my door step and the courier company that they mentioned was CITY LINK COURIER CO GLASGOW UK. But I refused to do so. JUST CONFIRM ME ITS TRUE OR NOT.

Nokia Cell Phone - E66 (Brand) — Defective phone

Hi,

You are my last hope. I had purchased a cell phone of Nokia Company the model no was E66, which cost me around 19700/- in January 09.

From day one, the phone had severe problems of battery drain, backlight issue and the handset hangs very often. To rectify the same I had been to Nokia care 5 times and to my surprise every time they just do some formatting in the phone and give me back. The handset works fine for few days later it gives the same problem so when the 5th time I visited them I made hue and cry about my phone and they agreed to give me a new set. The new set, which they claimed was new, has a video clip of 2008 and I just discovered it and it also giving me same problems… Nokia Care people want me to go there in the shop again y should I go there again when they will just do some formatting changes and give my phone back as it is…

Please help me…They cannot cheat fellow citizens like this. I am worried the investment I have done in the phone

Please help me you are my last hope.

Nokia 2626 Handset / Nokia Service Centre At Karol Bagh — Manufacturer defects & misbehaviour

Dear Sir

I my self purchased a Nokia 2626F.Red ( Item Code 0023598 & IMEI No.[protected] ) handset on 07.04.2009 at 15.38.53 vide invoice no.[protected]Item[protected] & Lot No.[protected] ) from Hot Spot Store at M/s Malik Communication SP-2G, Shadipur Metro Station, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi-110008 by Paying Cash of Rs.2020/- (Two Thousand Twenty Only) As a Customer (Name-Jyoti Nitin ) ID.No.[protected] & got the receipt of the same, Packed at the same time with counter boy & gifted to my husband on very next day.

3-4 days after he told me that the F.M.of that particular Phone was not working. I suggest him to go back to Shop and replace the same. he went their when he find some extra time to visit the shop & complaint the same with store incharge.

Store Incharge told that he can'thelp anything because after sales, service Centre is responsible in case of any defaults in the handset.

he come back & went 2-3 times at Nokia Care Centre in Karol Bagh (Owner Mr. Pawan ) But due to rush at the service centre he return back by thinking that repair it at next time.

Once they taken the handset to repair the same in the month of August & Service Centre Engineer open it & ask to pay Rs. 60/- for the same & misbehave with him ,when he refuse to pay any amount. he come back to home along with the handset without repair it.

10 days back I have seen that the Screen of the handset had been dull & uncleared.

Now the nothing is seen on the screen.

Now I would request you to please replace the handset at the convience store near by my house or return the Amount Paid by me at the time of Purchase.

Pl.resolve the same within the 7 days of notice period otherwise I am free to lodge a complaints in the consumer Forum against the Manufacturer, Seller & service centre for the same.
