[Resolved]  Philips — Philips MCD196/98

I experienced a problem with my music system (MCD 196/98). When try to play a CD the system gives message "No disc". I took it to Philips authorised service centre in Kotrudh Pune. I was told that the cost of repairs is Rs. 3000/-. I was told that the mpeg card for the system has failed and that it did cost that much.

I am very much surprised at the cost of repairs as the cost of repairs is almost same as the original price of the system.

Please confirm if the cost of repairs is correct.
