Today dt. 04 july 2008, i purchased a nokia 1200 for rs. 1250.00. They assured warranty. The next half an hour i brought the set home, i found that the phone book contacts starting with the letter 'd' could not be accessed. I got 100% frustrated. They even never picked the phone. Finally the 5th time when the rep / salesman picked up, i shouted at him with my reasonable anger. I was asked to come to kodambakkam (Arcot road) poorvika showroom.
The salesman there blamed my sim card which is a bsnl. He said only bsnl sim cards face this problem, when that was not the fact. He tried avoiding me and my replacement request even though i had purchased it the same day, just 1 hour before.
After a great struggle, he agreed to replace the handset. Then the sales person started shouting at me, which is in no way, a customer respect or honour.
I would recommment people to buy mobiles, even in local retailers, never and never in poorvika. They are fraud, cheats and scoundrels.
