[Resolved]  Reader's Digest — 3 free gifts

I recieved a year subscription as a X-mas gift. With my Feb. 2010 I got a card with special thanks! and I could claim my 3 free gifts at www.readersdigest.com/3free. All that was found at this site were dozens of complaints, nothing to sign up or register for. I also am very sadden that this problem seems to be ongoing for months and has not been corrected by Reader's Digest.

At first, I blamed myself for failure to locate the 3free info on the internet. After reading all the similar complaints, my opinion of Readers Digest is seriously shaken. Why would a reputable publisher taunt its subscribers with such a misleading offer?
Yes, this is my thrid time ordering the Readers Digest. I use to look forward to the magazine, in the 1980's and the 90's I really enjoyed it, but now, I do not like the tricks that are played on people. I had ordered this scription from a school for band members to go on a trip in June 2008. I am just recieving my first copy for this order on March1, 2010.

I thought that might be the reason I was to claim my 3 free gifts, guess no free gifts after all...

Go figure!!! I have no clue what is happening with this company anymore.
Readers Digest is has given a good lesson, how to fly on dream air.Keep it Mr. Malhotra & your Team
I have subscribed to RD for fifty years, and now they pull something like this. I'm shocked at their gall and will probably cancel after this one ends. I don't like to deal with any company who pulls a stunt like this./
why send card saying I will win 3 free gifts? Save the paper and postate.
At age 83, Readers Digest has been a part of my life for many, many years. How disappointed I am in them, to chose to use a false
advertisement to lure us into perchaseing more of their books. I never needed anything like this before. It never took me very long to renew a subscripton when one ended. I was just reading my March 2010 issue this morning. Sad story.

Reader's Digest — 3 free gifts

three gifts waiting for me. Claim today at www.readersdigest.com/3free Yea right. They must be idden treasures cause I can't find them. this is a bunch of YAK.
Years ago, I use to participate in winning a large sum of money, similarly to the one that Publisher's Clearninghouse has and participated and bought as much as I could and never won. This should not be a surprise to me, but it is. I am disappointed as I thought Reader's Digest was honest and better than the average when it comes to telling the truth.
Iftried to find 3free gifts and there is nothign there

Readers Digest 3 free gifts — not a real gift

I was confulsed. I thought I would get some kind of package as pictured on your card. Instead all I can get is a subscription to Reaaders Digies to send someone for 3 months or to send 3 people a subscription for one month. Not my gift at all. I am already sending subscription to people and do not neet more to pay for.
Where do I find my 3 free gifts ?
I do agree with all the people who have complaint. I also have given more than New Zealand $150 when asked from readers digest but now i get nothing and those money was my saving money which i saved it for my kids school things but i send it to readers digest thinking i would win but i was fooled by them now i have all the prove of sending money and letters i received and i am going to report this to the police and recently i received a letter from readers digest asking money donation for st johns and orphanage i know that is fake as well u will keep the money i will take you to the court remember me
How can I win to free surprise gift?
Saturday October 9, 2010 was the second time I have received a colorful card in my Readers Digest saying: 3 FREE GIFTS are waiting for you, pictures of three gift wrapped boxes, a square on their right containing: Special subscriber hgift rewards.
At the bottom of the card is:
Claim them today at:
WWW.readersdigest.com/my freegifts
Followed instructions to the letter. All I get is a bunch of gobbeldygook and complaints from others who get the same result and NO promised free gifts.
WHAT KIND OF SCAM IS RD RUNNING????
Have been subscribing to RD for 59 years and enjoyed it but now you have decreased the size to the point it is practically non existant, the contents are MUCH less interesting with FAR more trash advertising inside. RD has gone down hill so fast it is hardly worth having any more. SHAPE UP !!!
Why the stupid confirmation code ?

I cant find where to retrieve my gifts that I was told i could get
I've been a readers digest subscriber most of 40 years. When this subscription expires, I think I will forget them. More and more companies are pulling tricks like this
I was happy to get the magazine and when there was an offer of 3 free gifts, I thought "How nice". However, I, the same as everyone whose complaint precedes mine, was flabbergasted when I went to the website and there was no way of signing up for the free gifts! What gives? This definitely should be investigated and cleared-up!
