I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S II mobile on 11/04/2012 from a dealer in my place Thrissur (Kerala). The handset seemed to be free of any defects at the time of purchase. After 11 days of my purchase, ie, on 22/04/2012, I happened to see a white line across my screen. I checked it with the dealer and they said my mobile screen is defective and I have to take it to the Samsung mobile authorized service center for replacement of the product.
On 23/04/2012, I took the product to service center and told them I want to replace the mobile with a new one as it is only 11 days old. I was shocked to hear them say that they do not have the option to replace the defective product but only they can just repair it for me. They said they can only replace the product only if it is within 3 days from the date of purchase. They said they have got strict orders from their higher level management people. I talked with one of the management people and they too said they same.
I feel really cheated for paying my hard earned money for this unreliable product which got damaged just within 11 days despite of my utmost careful usage. There is no way I can describe about the worst customer service I have seen trying to take advantage of the customer saying they do not have an option to get my product replaced.
Shame on you Samsung!!!!
I strongly believe I have the full rights to ask for getting my product replaced.
I am never gonna recommend a samsung product to anyone which does not even provide a provision for replacement of a defective product which is just 11 days old from the date of purchase.
