Dear Sir,
This is with reference to complaint number [protected] dated 26 Sep 09 I have registered with the customer care of Samsung India Ltd.
I had purchased fully automatic washing machine Silver Nano, model no.WA82HAG with the capacity of 6.2kg from a Samsung authorized outlet in Chennai on 4 October 2006 (original bills and receipts are safely kept with me). I am sorry to state that it is not even three years that I purchased this machine and the machine has crumbled down because of multiple and heavy layers of rust in the body and base of the machine.
A representative from your company had visited my house on 26 September 2009 (on the date) against the aforesaid complaint number. I had a word with Mr Varun, a customer care executive also. But none of them could provide me with a justified answer. Nevertheless I was informed that this model’s metal body does not exist in the market anymore, so they can not get the body replaced. Samsung India being a biggest name in the electronic world can not be expected to provide such an inferior product in the market. I have Samsung brand fridge, window AC, microwave oven also at home. Your customer care executive and the visiting service engineer blatantly refused to give me this statement in black and white that this body of the machine is now not available with the repair department of Samsung whereas they verbally told me this fact in as many words that this body is totally out of production and is not available all across the country. He also suggested that we better get this machine repaired from a local mechanic outside in the local market which puts a big question mark on the very utility and sanctity of your customer care cell/department. Coming from a big firm like yours it sounded extremely unprofessional and unethical.
In light of the above, I wish to state that this particular machine is a defective piece and suffers from an acute material failure. Keeping these facts in mind, I should be provided with a new machine in lieu of my old machine or I should be paid a proper compensation against the damage else I shall have to move to consumer court and look for a suitable justice. An early reply to this mail is eagerly awaited.
