I would like to highlight my displeasure & disappointment with the product (model: Wave 2 8530) that I purchased from one of the authorized dealer of Samsung - Noida, India.
I bought this phone on 1st Feb 2011 and to my surprise I have to visit the service center within 2 months of purchase.
Issue description – Problem with touchscreen, constant display o[censored]SB symbol, over heating & very less battery life.
I showed my phone at one of the authorized service centre located at D-170, Sector 63, Noida on 16th Apr 2011 (Job# 1172). To my surprise I was asked to leave my phone as the mother-board was damaged. I have been told that mother-board of my new phone would be replaced and I will get my phone back in 1 week.
Replacing the motherboard within 2 months of purchase?????
Please suggest if the warranty of my phone would be extended????
If not, then please treat this email as a formal request for refund or replacement of the handset.

I just received two calls from Samsung Customer Service department. 1st call was from customer service department and was very helpful and supportive, whereas, the 2nd caller was from a different department. This person was very rude and started explaining that Samsung has no policy of replacement of the phone and had advised me to go ahead and file a complaint against this policy in the consumer forum. I never wanted this kind o[censored]npleasant events to happen with Samsung, but can’t afford a 17K and 2 months old phone to get repaired

Samsung Galaxy i5510 — Poor Mobile Repair Service
Dear Samsung Support .With utter disappointment , I have to convey the pain I had to go through your Samsung Mobile Service Centre at Lajpat Nagar.
I had brought Samsung Galaxy 5510 around 3 months ago. After 2 months o[censored]sage , the touchpad used to stop working intermittently although the keypad used to work properly. I went to the Lajpat Nagar Service Centre and was told that there was Liquid Issue because of which the receiver was not working. I readily signed the document and gave the phone for servicing. I was also informed that since Liquid Problem doesn’t come under warranty , hence I would have to pay the charges . This happened on the 18th June .
Few days passed and I wasn’t provided any update .After some days , I called and was told that it would cost Rs. 2000 for the same . I agreed for the same . After few more days , there was no proactive call from the Customer Care and it was me who had to call . I was told that they would check the status and call back but the call never came .This happened continuously for some days .Day before yesterday when I assertively asked for the status , I was told that the Motherboard had got damaged and it would cost around Rs. 6000
This thing is not acceptable when the cost is increased from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 6000 and the customer is informed not proactively but only when he calls , and that too after a month has passed.
This poor service has caused great inconvenience to me and created a negative image of Samsung Service among me and my friends . Also this has let us to have a perception of poor service and refrain from buying future mobiles if such service is provided .
I would request you to kindly look into the matter gravely .
