[Resolved]  Samsung Refrigerator — Making too much loud noise

I purchased Samsung 250 L double door fridge in 2008 from Big Bazzar, Pune, Maharashtra. From last 2/3 months its making very loud noise continuously.
Pls. attend complaint at the earliest.

Samsung refrigerator (Double door) — Making lot of Noise


We have double door refrigetor, from fast one year we are facing problem in it, our refrigetor making some Weird noise specially at night which is really very disturbing. And it get stop instantly when touched or pressed very hard. Request you to plz resolve the problem at earliest.

I bought a Samsung RT32 last December. After working pretty noiselessly for the first 3 months, it started making a humming sound. The sound started getting progressively louder, till it became so loud that we could not bear being near the fridge when the compressor was on. (We used to sleep with our kitchen door closed just so the sound would reduce in its ferocity :-). The fridge cooled well all this time - our only problem was with the humming.

Since I was within the warranty period, I placed a call to the Samsung Service Toll Free No. They promised to send a technician the next day. After reading some of the other comments related to Samsung customer service here, I was (kinda) prepared for the worst.

However, the Samsung technician arrived within a day as promised. He agreed that the humming was more than what could be expected from a 'normal' fridge. What he did then really surprised me (pleasantly!!). When you see the backside of the fridge, you will see some copper tubes coming out of the compressor. All he had to do was to bend the tubes a little outward, and the noise STOPPED. I mean, completely stopped - I confirmed that there was no noise when the compressor was running!!

This MIGHT be the solution to your problem too (if it has not been solved already). If you are within the warranty period, I would suggest that you request a visit from the Samsung service technician too, and gently ask him (or her) to try this solution. I hope this works for you too - Good Luck!!
