Samsung Refrigerator — Misleading Support Services | |||
I own a Samsung refrigerator SR29EB for past 7 years and is now obviously out of warranty. Yesterday fridge had started developing some issue and stopped making ice. As a loyal samsung customer i immediately called up the customer care and booked the ticket. Living to the motto of 1 hr response 1 day service and 1 visit solution, service engieer visited today morning and diagnosed compressor failure. His recommendation was to change compressor for Rs 7k and was supposedly the only possible remedy. BTW this new compressor was coming with 1 month warranty. i was shocked and thanked field engieer for his advise and started thinking of buying a new fridge as didn't find 7k spent worthwhile. At same time i called another service engineer from nearby shop to look into the issue. WoW what a wise decision i made. Problem was with one component which went faulty and replaced this with new one for 600 Rs. Than i realized this is the second time samsung service engineer has asked for replacing the compressor for no reason. I wonder if Samsung believes this as a method for 1 visit solution or minting money at customer cost. Now i am a firm believer of the fact that Samsung support is horrible and i was wrong in my loyalist approach with Samsung. If anyone at Samsung is reading this, than guys please note that today you have lost one customer due to your callous approach and if you continue to do so, i am afraid you are bound to loose more customers. My feedback to others. NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS. AFTER SALE SUPPORT IS PATHETIC. (Can cite more examples if you still do not believe in this fact) Was this information helpful? | |||
