Hi, Am facing the same problem now... they said the same thing. i had the same question that if a capillary costs around 250 to 300, why does the customer have to pay for the gas as well. this is totally unacceptable. The Engineer also mentioned that in Split ACs they have a provision to store gas and hence the customer doesn't have to pay for refilling the gas. i fail to understand if such a system is present for Split ACs - why can't they have a similar system for Window ACs as well. or are we trying to say that SAMSUNG Service for window ACs is horrible or Window ACs of SAMSUNG are horrible and that we should not purpose them as the maintainence cost is very high!!!

This sounds funny as per logic. What they are saying is that my AC's capillary pipes shall get choked every 3rd/4th year and I shall be made to pay for gas which is almost half the cost of the condensor. Besides I spke to local service agencies who told me that in such cases, gas can be stored and refilled with only top-up portion to be charged (100-250 bucks). I wonder why Samsung can't do it when it has one of the largest pool of customers.
BTW, does it help to lodge a complaint here?
