[Resolved]  Shopping. Rediff.com — Customer service false promises

Hello People who are victims like me,

I have an account with rediff shopping & sadly I have nothing good to talk about the company.

Firstly, I am not the kind of person who would talk ill or find reasonings to place a complaint, however if i am made to invest all my time and energy leaving the most important chores of my life , just like anyone else who is not too happy would post a complaint

I placed an order over 2 months back for a set of eye shade + Head cushion and happily paid for cash on delivery over and above their regular shipping charge. To my horror when I received the shipment I got a cheap KOREAN EYE shade from Ojjas being one of their retailers, now, I forgive Ojjas as a retailer as it did not take long that I called rediff for a refund that I was told by rediff they would do it, as they first confirm with retailers before doing so once the shipment is received as a return by them

So, after a 2 week wait time when my product was returned so that I can get a refund I waited for one month, I was told I would get a cheque automatically but that never happened. Unfortunately, I had to change my address by the end of that month so I requested for a direct credit into my account as I did not have the new address ,also I could not have risked receiving the cheque on the old one as no one would be there to collect it.

After over a week's time of waiting I called back as I did not see the refund reflect in my account & I was in the new address, so taking advantage of the situation rediff tells me that there is a technical error in the system due to which they cannot do the direct crediting & instead again offered to send cheque at the new address, well, as I would need to travel more than a few locations it was not feasable for me to do that so I requested they would do A DIRECT CREDIT as they promised into my account

I have not spoken about the hold time for order 6511157 , but its more than 10 mins atleast for each call I have made and atleast 3 disconnections by their executive. Also, experienced several lies for a callback that never happened on different days & lied to that the amount was credited towards the end for over a week.

Anyways, with all the hassle I have been through I realized that websites like ebay.in,india plaza or homeshop18 are better as their shipping fees are low or high depending on the item, also the cost of the product is much less. SO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND REDIFF TO ANYONE OR USE THEM FOR PLACING AN ORDER WITH OVER 4 Hours on phone for one small amount of refund that would have been better managed by ebay or other such mediators.

Spoke with executives like Vidya id 40225, Atish etc who have not been able to resolve it & only tried using words to convince which is a total failure as at the end of the day ITS WORDS NO ACTION.
REDIFF STINKS TO THE CORE!
