[Resolved]  South Eastern Railway — Misconduct and illegal allotment of seat by a senior T.T. named Mr. N.C. Karmakar

Sir,
Mr. N.C.Karmakar a Senior T.T. of Kharagpur Division posted at Howrah , while checking the Train no. 8617 UP from Howrah to Ranchi misbehaved with me and forced me to vacate the seat no 35 of the A.C. compartment.
I was going from Howrah to Jhargram with a valid ticket with no. B 54596416 on 24.04.2010. I have shown him my ticket when he entered the A/C compartment at the time of departure of the train from the Howrah station and asked him to make a A.C.ticket in favour of me. Mr. Karmakar denied to do so at that time and told me “Lets see, if there remains any vacant seat I will allot you”. At about 3.50 PM Mr. Karmakar came to me with a passenger and asked me to vacate the seat. I asked the passenger to show the ticket and I saw that the person had a pass and a blank paper ticket issue by Mr. Karmakar and not a waiting listed ticket of A/C class. I asked Mr. Karmakar that why he has not issued me the A/C ticket in favour of me. He behaved rudely and asked me to come out of the compartment. He refused to give explanation and asked me to do a complaint against him.
My allegations are:-
1. Being a citizen of India why I will not get a seat even if I am ready to pay the amount of money for conversion of the ticket?
2. On what ground Mr. Karmakar will select a person to allot a vacant seat?
a) A person on seat and a person not on seat?
b) A person with a pass or a person is ready to pay to the Railway department?
3. When I was on the seat and ready to pay and requested him to make the ticket at the time of his entry to the compartment in favour of me how can he reject me?
4. How a Senior T.T. can misbehave with a passenger?
5. How a senior T.T. can refuse to explain of non issuing the ticket in favour of me?
I, therefore request you to take proper action against the concerned staff and I am eagerly waiting for your reply in this connection to see the better service in this department in favour of the general people and not for staffs only.
