[Resolved]  Southern Railways — ticket cancellation

Southern Railway sent a letter to IRCTC vide letter no : MSR270113V92850 in respect of
PNR No:[protected]. We have decided to undertake a journey to Salem to Chennai on 20/1/13 vide PNR NO [protected]. Due to unforeseen situation, we could not undertake the journey. Hence I fild TDR, since the tickets was an E-Ticket booked via IRCTC. Whereas now IRCTC informs that concerned authority rejected my claim for refund. hence I sent an email as follows"-
"With Reference to your mail, I STRONGLY TAKE EXCEPTION TO THE DECISION OF THE RAILWAYS. IT IS PURELY THE T.T.E MISTAKE THAT HE HAD NOT MENTIONED ANY REMARKS IN CHARTING. I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAME. KINDLY TAKE NOTICE OF THIS EMAIL AS A FINAL REQUEST FOR REFUND OF THE ADMISSIBLE AMOUNT AS WE DID NOT UNDERTAKE THE JOURNEY BEARING PNR NO [protected]. ELSE I AM FORCED TO GO TO CONSUMER FORUM FOR REDRESSAL OF MY GRIEVANCES. KINDLY PASS IT ON THE CONCERNED RAILWAY AUTHORITIES"
