Spice Jet Airlines — Damages for Baggage | |
Sir, I have traveled in spicejet flight SG 344 and my confirmation no. was R 2 Z F D P FROM jaipur to Banglore and Banglore to Jaipur. on dated 30.09.2009 and 3.10.2009. But while returning from Banglore on 3.10.2009 my baggage suitcase was completely damaged which was reported vide Baggage Irregulaty report dated 3.10.2009 No. 30981 at Jaipur Air port Baggage No. was 381667. My damages was of Rs. 4000/- ( suitcase) corrallite. But till date I have not received my damages. So I have to give this notice so that I can take the legal remedies accordingly. awaiting for your early response as I know you will not prefer litigation and cost of litigations shall be bron by you. Cheque sent by you for Rs. 400/- against my damages for Rs. 4000/- is not acceptable at all. My complaint is pending since one month my complaint number was 48399. For this amount I have already rejected yr offer to megha over phone Your attitude is forcing me to give the case to advocate then all cost including damages for pain & suffering shall be your which in any case cannot be less than 5 figures or more I am not writing you only for the sake of bargaining only.

i had a similar issue with Kingfisher last month .But they immediately examined my baggage and gave me the due amount immediately.
Guess thats the difference between these 'Cheap' ( not low cost) airlines and others (fairly decent if i may call)!!!
P.s. I faced a unpleasant experience with Spicejet too and they seem to be least apologetic about it!!
