[Resolved] Standard Chartered Bank — Unauthorised transaction in Credit Card | |
My credit card got stolen and the next day, I called the bank to block my card. the card was promptly blocked but a transaction already took place. I disputed the transaction and raised a complaint. The investigation was initiated for I had submitted a form. After couple of months, I got a letter from the bank attaching the charge slip of the disputed transaction. Immediately I called up the bank to inform that the signature on the transaction slip was not mine and was of some Mr. Kumar. The bank did nothing but closed the complaint, saying that a letter along with the charge slip was given to the customer and hence the complaint was closed. The bank did not even bother to verify the signature on the transaction slip before closing the complaint. I called up the bank again a few day back to confirm if the card was closed and to my utter surprise, I found that my name has been added to the defaulters list. Having experienced such unprofessional service, I have decided that I shall never in my life time have any relationship with Standard Chartered Bank. My card number ends 6954.
