[Resolved] Standard Chartered — Credit Card Application rejected without justification | |||
My Standard Chartered Credit Card got denied/rejected with no explanation and no reason. I was given the same excuse - - Does not meet bank policy norms How are they allowed to keep our documents and not give us an appropriate reason as to why we "did not meet bank policy norms"? I have provided them every thing, every document and every formality was fulfilled and I was well above the minimum salary requirements as well. In fact, they even called my parents who are abroad and asked them INANE stupid questions like, 'are you aware that your daughter has applied for a credit card?' and 'do you approve?'!!! Excuse me, but I am a full grown independent working woman of 28 years who does not need the permission or financial backing of my parents. Besides this ridiculousness, the person who called me after I raised a hue and cry on their social networks promised to give me a reference code, but I am yet to receive an email. This just goes to show the level of mediocrity that they have at Standard Chartered. Since I don't have a reference number due to the unprofessional attitude of their employees, I only have my Credit Card Application Status number - #GFD6013BRK01 Utterly disgusted with Standard Chartered and I'm telling everyone I know about their malpractices. Think I'm the only one? Same here. I also applied for a Manhattan card and they called me 5-6 times till they collected all documents and after that no response. I later learnt that SCB was unable to offer me the card at this point of time and can try again later ! Why would I even bother to try again with such banks who doesnt value any new customer.
