Standardchartered Bank — Misplacement of cheque
I am an account holder with satandardchartered bank new delhi for the past 20 months,i requested for a statement duration dec 2006 to march 2007 on 23 oct 2007 by calling on customer care number,the representative told me that they will be charging me Rs168 for that,i aggreed to that,now its been almost two months i have not recieved the statemen and the money has already been debited,i complaint against this by calling on the customer care number may be 5-6 times,everytime i was told that i will get the statement or they will call me back,because they told me that we have sent your statement there is something wrong with the courier company,i went to the branch on 10 dec 2007 requested the statement in writing i was told that i will get the statement in 1-2 working days its been 4 working days still i have not recieved the statement.
Apart from that i submitted my salary cheque on 5 dec 2007 on cheque i had the name as Saranjeet Arora,whereas on my a/c i had the name as Saranjeet Singh Arora,so the bank has not presented my cheque,however i lost the cheque number now i am asking these guys to give my cheque back so that i can get a new cheque from my company but they say we cant give your cheque back as you dont have the cheque number
