[Resolved]  State Bank of India & Bank of Baroda — Failed transaction money retained for 6 months and 6 days!!!

I have an savings account (a/c no. [protected]) in SBI from which i withdrew Rs.7000 through my ATM card (ATM card no.[protected] from a BOB (Bank of Baroda) ATM Machine in Alambagh,Lucknow on 10th of May 2009, which eventually failed but debited my account by the same amount.

Now as per rules the amount should have been returned back in the respective account no. within 14 days, which din't happen. After several enquiries and visits in both the respective Banks and even submission of applications on time the amount was not returned back within the specified time and i was kept in dark all the time for my refund all the time.

Now as being a working widow, i din't get enough time to go to the banks again and again and i finally lost hopes of getting my money back to me.

Finally the money was transferred back to my account after a long period of 6 months and 6 days on 16th of November, 2009.

Now as per RBI Rules banks have to return the money of the failed transactions within 14 days, which in my case dint happened, more over worst happened.

I request you to accept my plea for the same and request you to take action against both the banks.
I would request you to order the banks for the granting me compensation and interest over the money they retained for such a long time due to a failed transaction.
