SBI, defective charges — intercity charges

I am a Central Govt.Servant employed with Central Excise and stationed at Central Excise Division, Junagadh. My salary is being deposited in State Bank Main Branch, Junagadh. I am holding savings A/c No.[protected] at SBI, Bedi Bundar Road, Jamnagar. Rs.58/- per month as intercity charges for Jul,2011 & Aug,2011 have been deducted on 30.08.2011 from my a/c. While Shri Nilesh D Joshi working in the same office drawing salary from the same office by the same cheque and salary list submitted by Central Excise office having savings a/c No.[protected] at SBI Main, Jamnagar has not been charged any intercity charges.
The salary transfer should not invite any intercity charges for it being transfer within the same group of banks. Therefore the defective intercity charges may be reveresed and credited to my account immediately.

This matter was taken with the concerned Branch Manager. He was non chalant and adamant hence this e-complaint.

I agree this complaint is rational

EVEN IT HAPPENED WITH ME ALSO. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IS THAT REPUTED BANK LIKE SBI CHARGE FOR INTER DEPOSIT TRANSACTIONS.THIS IS TOTALLY INDIRECT FRAUD TO ITS CUSTOMERS. PLS BE AWARE OF IT.

The same thing happened to me. Till Nov 2011, SBI deducted Rs. 38 as intercity charges for Rs. 25000 and suddenly they have charged Rs. 110/- for the same amount of Rs. 25000. They don't even intimate why it has been done so

Now they deduct Rs300/- for Rs 2Lakhs. Looting Money by banking by SBI

Sbi is unfair in this part. I Thought being a reputated it will be good, but it was cheating the hard moneys people.
I deposited Rs.3000/- in another branch which is my hard earned money, with in a moment i got message that intecrity charges Rs.25 levied. I Really shocked and stunned. If this continues there is no part to the bank.

Being a 200 years old it was shocking to every one.

Its really stupid that SBI deducts Rs.25/- for just a cash deposit of Rs.100/- in other branch of the same state. I'm unhappy on this

Yes, it seems to be illegal as money transfer is free from Internet Banking from any where but who are unable to use netbanking, SBI is charging the InterCity Charges for at transaction for which the person himself goes to one of its branch. Very typical logic of SBI. There should be no charge at all named Intercity charges. It must be a service of the bank. Yes Looting Money by banking by SBI.

I have an saving account in narwana branch (hry.) I have deposited two cheques in kaithal branch of sbi for clearing from hdfc and ubi payable at kaithal.Bank has deducted rs. 221.00 +221.00 from my saving account for clearing intercity charges.even this is not intercity transaction.this is local clearing by cheque. Bank has to refund my 442.00 rs. in my saving account or I will feel bound to take help from consumer protection act.

Yes in SBH also they taking intercity charges rs 25/- for depositing 250/-

today i am very much disappointed from the sbi bank they have deduct intercity charge, i hv my account in gorakhpur city in rustampur branch & due to some time problem i have deposite 10, 000cash in sbi of MMM Egg. college gorakhpur, the city is same bank is also same then what is this stupid activity.If bank will not get any response then i will close my account, i have also a/c in icici bank & i am totally satisfied from there services. yes, i too got charged 18 rp for 8k deposit in same branch. i don't know the reason.

Compare with SBI (government) bank private bank is best. they don't charge like SBI. it is too bad.

Today i have deposited 34500/- amount in my city udaipur at sunderwas branch and bank deducted 69/- Rs. by name INTER CITY CHARGES and my account is in udaipur at Udiapole brance . there are both brance in same city . i think INTER CITY CHARGES applicable for one city to other city. PERHAPS IT CAN BE WRONG PLS SUGGEST ME

i have deposite 1000 but i debited 50 intercity charge what is that

I have an account in sbi (saving Account) and deposited money of 1k in ranchi a sbi branch . They deducted Rs.50 as Intercity charges before i thing they deduct rs 20 or 25 . This is really bad for such a big bank which has network all over the country...

Hi I have deposited 3000 in non-home branch but they had cut 50rs as intercity charges. Please tell me why this hell is happening.

Now a reputed Indian Bank SBI is playing with belief of People in the name of Intercity charges without prior information. Even the charge not fixed. I deposited 1, 000/- and lost 50/- for this service while other complaints indicate the amount should be 25/-. If SBI is in mood of swing like private banks then hats off to the Chairman, SBI soon the internet will be full of SBI complains and facilitate people with other private bank services. BSNL ne khub kiya...aayi ab SBI ki baari.

It is reduculas form charged the intercity charge Rs 50 for depositing the money. Relay this is fraud without intemation charge the account
