[Resolved]  State Bank of India — INTer City Charges

SBI has deducted 50 Rs. as a INTER CITY CHARGES but legally 25 is original charge for INTER CITY CHARGES .

Why is that sbi charging intercity charges...?? Ridiculous
If at else nationalised bank like sbi entertaining such ridiculous process then As far as i came to know charges are rs50 for money deposit over 20, 000 and rs25 for money below 20, 000 bt.why is that i got charged rs 50 for deposit of only rs 3000 why not its rs25.

Pls seriously do something about such fraud charges.

Why is that sbi has entertained fraud charges under the shadow of intercity charges??
Really very shameful and ridiculous stuff.
If at else they are charging then why i was charged rs 50 instead of rs 25 for money deposit of rs 3000 .
As far as i know its rs 50 for above 20, 000 and rs 25 for deposit below 20, 000.

Pls do something about this and take some serious steps on such fraud charges.
If such continues i will b closing my a/c and meanwhile suggest every one related to me to close or not to open a/c in sbi.

My name is Mohan, I am also face the same issue, yesterday my cousin deposit cash Rs.500/- from tuticorin after received from the amount they deduct Rs.50/- without prior any notice. It's too bad where SBI treats like this for five hundred they charging fifty rupees is uncommon. Sir please do us a needful and regulate the charging. I have attached the proof.

I deposited just rs200/- for an urgent online banking. They deducted rs50/- as intercity charges. What is this?

In what condition are they deducting the amount, Now SBI is making intercity charges of Rs. 50/- for Rs.17, 000 of deposit, which is less than 20, 000/-

we have two SBI branches in our place. i said to my friend to deposit money to my account he went and deposit wic is not in my own branch for that i have lost Rs.50/-. we are not reach few few amount we deposit in that also i[censored] charge like this it is not good.

Im working in other place wic wr i dont have account so every time if i want to deposit i have to loose Rs.50/- ah. same location same sbi den why this charges. kindly remove this

We should warn the banks those deducting on deposits by giving complaint through its official websites, if they repeat it again then the whole indian customers will withdraw their money from the banks. we should form a community of consumers so please spreads this message to the whole medias

Inter City Charge,
I have account in SBI Nagpur Branch. Today 9-jan-2015 I deposited 6000RS money in non home branch of SBI and they charges 50RS for inter city Deposit.

Suppose, if we deposit a money via SBI e-corner means??

This is actually MONOPOLY business.

The largest bank in India doing this kind of cheap work.First they have started core banking 3 to 4 years earlier, suddenly they have been imposed charge on the transactions.Every time is not possible for us to visit home branch, SBI just taking advantage out of it.

Why are you people are charging INR 50. As inter city charges on depositing from other branches. This is not fair.

I am also deposit 10k, I am also got the same issue.Even I have a HDFC, Union Bank account.But these banks are not Deduct this kind of chrges.really i am worry about this charges.Please consider this issue.

I have deposited 4000 Rs 10 july 15 near my college Diat, pune 411028 hardly 9 Km away from my wife's account at my home deducted 50 Rs. for that why should you pay 50/- Rs. where you are in same city saying it is Intercity charges. Again They made a mistake in her chequebook when I showed them their mistake they said you give us an application, So they issued a new chequebook but applied charges of 50/- Rs for their spelling mistake even though we had passbook having proper surname printed. Who are they to charge you for their mistake. Please have some campaign against these issues of SBI.

I deposited rs. 2000 and SBI charged me with 50 Rs. as intercity charges.

I also thought it would charge 25.

d bank is very very bad bank, so pls aviod this bank, the other banks indian bank, tmb bank debosited charges not teken but this bank will be taken only for 5250 depposoted but depposited charge 50 rupee takken

Shame on SBI. It's unexpected that this kind of large and well known bank can do this to their customers and now it's Rs. 57/- for 25K transaction. Totally unexpected and very shameful that to earn some revenue they put this kind of burden to their customers. Just rubbish. What is the meaning of network branch, core banking etc when we are at 21st century. Looks like SBI still maintaining their old age where others are too far from it's reach in terms of advancement.
