[Resolved] State Bank of India — Incorrect Account Number linked to the Internet banking Profile | |
I hold a Savings account in SBI Serilingampally Branch, Hyderabad. I have requested for internet banking profile(kit) on 24th February 2010 and clearly indicated the account number (my account) in the application form for internet banking user profile/kit. I was given a kit containing a user id and password and have been advised to login and check on Monday (3rd March 2010). Now when i logged into the internet banking site of SBI (www.onlinesbi.com) today, I find that a completely diffrent account has been linked to my profile DESPITE ME SPECIFYING THE ACCOUNT NUMBER CLEARLY IN THE APPLICATION FORM SUBMITTED IN THE BRANCH. This is a potential mistake with huge impact as it may have happened to my account or any body account which is literally providing access to one's bank account to the inappropriate person.
