[Resolved]  State Bank of India (Digwadih Branch) — derogatory behaviour

Respected Sir,
I am dola mahapatra(pursuing MBA from Xavier institute) writing this letter to bring into ur notice the derogatory behaviour of your employees towards female customer.Sir I wanted to open an account in SBI(DIGWADIH BRANCH) for my education loan as my father Mr. Manoranjan Mahapatra already have an account in digwadih branch, but the fact is now I really regret to open an account in sbi digwadih branch but as this is my compulsion to open an account so I had to do beyond my wish. I would like to inform u sir that, to open an account I had to make 3days walkout in digwadih branch, whenever I used to go to the person who opens an account, he speaks as if talking to an animal i.e. Mr………said me “ not now go out, or go afterward I’ll call u, or all ladies go out and sit I’ll cal you(in very rude manner) ”but the fact is he used to get no time to call us, and after every 5minutes he used to go out from his room and at the end of the day he used to say “aaj nahi, kal aana” and finally last day I was very angry and I complained to the branch manager Mr.S.B.Pandey, but again it was of no use.He was least bothered to hear me and scolded me and asked me why haven’t I opened the account 3yrs or 2yrs ago, in reply to this when I said him I have an account in UBI(howrah-B.E.college branch) then he abused me by saying “kya hua UBI lath maar diya, nw u need loan so you are in a hurry”. sir I want to inform u that no bank deny to give loan, I had to open the account in digwadih branch because my father is having an account over there, he is an BCCL employee and his salary is being credited in digwadih branch.finally when I complained about the behaviour and said that no branch in kolkata had such rude behaviour towards their customer then he replied “don’t compare Mumbai branch with digwadih branch”.sir I want to ask a question-why cant digwadih branch make a change in their management?
Sir this is my humble request to give comeuppance to deserving employees and look into the matter and make a fair decision for all customers specially to the ladies customer.

This kind of behaviour is very common. Dola, I really appreciate that at atleast you have raised a voice against it. These bank officials know, that no one would take action against them and hence behave as if they are giving money from their own pockets.

Forget about loan, even if you withdraw money from the account, the attitude is as if Mr. X is doing obligation by giving money.

Hope that any senior SBI personnel reads this & takes some action. In this era of globalisation when SBI is thinking to go global, it should also look at Customer Relationship.
