[Resolved] State Bank of India — poor service and bad interactions with customers | |||

Branch code: 11819 Respected sir, I am a lecturer of KTG college of nursing. On 16/11/2010 I went to state bank of india, Anjana Nagar branch, Bangalore for the money transaction to account numbers [protected] and [protected]. Because of the system failure I cant able to do my transaction there. They gave an explanation that there system had some complaints so that transactions to other branchs is not possible for one week. This made me to move to the other nearest branch of SBI. I reached at Nagarbavi second stage branch (code: 11819) at 10:45 am. When we reached there itself we enquired whether the other branch transaction is possible there or not. They gave us an answer that its possible their and instructed to take a token and wait for the call. We took the tokens 66 and 67 and waited there for one hour . When they called our token we approached the counter no. 2 But when the person in that counter saw the paying slip that we collected from Anjana nagar branch, he refused to give me the service. When I asked about that she gave an explanation that the system got some failure. But the transactions of other people who reached before and after my chance got there services and they did their transactions. When we asked about more explanation she refused to say anything and in a rude way told me to meet the manager. So I moved towards the manager expecting he will solve my issue. The way the manager behaved to me is so embarrassing. He interacted with me very rudely saying that he cant do anything for me and he is not supposed to give services for other SBI branch account holders. He continued that the employees here in this branch are meant for working for mother branch account holders. when I requested him to behave in a polite way he shouted, saying that he can able behave like this only and challenged me to complaint at anywhere regarding this. He did all this in front of other staffs and customers of bank. Finally I moved to Magadi branch and did my transactions there. As an SBI account holder whether I deserve this type of harassment at their banks? Why they refused to give me services? In the advertisements of SBI they are giving various attractive captions like “banker of Indian people”, “always with you”, ”the only pure banking”.. etc. What is the similarity in this captions with their services? If they are not able to give services to their account holders how they became “the banker of Indian people”. They refused to give the services that all banks should provide to their customers as per banking laws.
