I WANTED TO RENEW MY CAR`S INSURANCE POLICY WITH TATA AIG GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY LTD.MY PREVIOUS INSURANCE IS ALSO INSURED WITH THE ABOVE COMPANY. I GOT A CALL FROM MUMBAI FOR THE RENEWAL ,AS I HAD REQUESTED FOR THE SAME, MY POLICY PREMIUM OF RS4956/- WAS PAID THROUGH MY CREDIT CARD ONLINE THROUGH PHONE.ON 28/03/2011 MY POLICY WAS TO EXPIRE ON 1/04/2011. I HAVE MADE THE PAYMENT ON 28/03/2011 I WAS TOLD I WILL BE GETTING: 1)ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FOR PAYMENT MADE 2)ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FOR POLICY RENEWAL WITH IN 2DAYS i.e.(30/03/2011). NOTE:IS IT NOT THE COMPANY`S RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE ME THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND THE POLICY WITH IN THE STIPULATED PERIOD.?. YESTERDAY 05/03/2011 I WANTED TO RAISE THE ISSUE AND CALLED THE CUSTOMER HELPLINE. I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR FROM THE HELP LINE THAT THERE IS NO UPDATE OF THE PAYMENT MADE,SO HE HAS NO IDEA WHETHER THE POLICY IS RENEWED /NOT? WORSER HE REQUESTS ME TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER 48 HOURS ONLY TO KNOW WHETHER THE POLICY IS RENEWED /NOT? THE LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY,NEGLIGENCE,NOT HOLDING ITS PROMISES HAS AFFECTED ME A LOT AS I WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO DRIVE MY CAR LEGALLY WITH OUT HOLDING A VALID INSURANCE.I WAS DISTURBED A LOT AFTER HEARING FROM THEM THAT THERE WAS NO UPDATE OF THE PAYMENT MADE .
