TATA Indicom Mobile Service — Poor Network coverage in Hitech city area in Hyderabad.
I am using the Tata Indicom mobile phone service with No.[protected]. Since 10 months I keep complaining about poor network coverage in Hitec City & Madhapur areas in Hyderabad but till now no action has been taken. Am fed up calling Customer care No. 121 after couple of months they had me call ‘Nodal Officer’ for the same issue. When I called up the nodal officer for the first time on his Ph. No.[protected] they told me it’s a know issue and they are searching for the place to install the Cell site and this would be resolved with in 45 days. After 45 days I did not get any response from these people, again I called up and they told me it would take 3 more months. After 3 months they did not turn up, I checked with the nodal office people and they told everything is completed, Cell site is also installed and they are waiting for ‘Government approval’ to execute the site and asked me to wait for 3 to 4 weeks more. Again after 4 weeks when I called up and they informed me that it would take 3 more months to resolve and they were not sure if it will be resolve or not. (I am surprised Hitec city is such a hot place and there is no network coverage, then what about the outskirts and rural areas.) I have informed them I have already waited for 10 months and I can’t wait anymore and informed I want to cancel my connection.
While subscribing for Tata Indicom connection I made a payment of Rs1450.00 towards connection charges and I have paid Rs. 9000.00 approx. towards Mobile handset. I have informed them I will cancel the connection and I will handover the Handset and asked to refund my amount. They say that as per the Tata Indicom policy they can’t return the money. I can’t afford to purchase a new handset and connection from other service provider. I cannot use Tata Indicom handset for other networks as it is of no use. Expecting the good service from Tata Indicom I have opted for their service paying money. Now they are telling ‘if you can’t wait for 3 more months you can cancel the connection’ but we won’t return your money. How far can this be justified when it comes to customer service like this. They cannot provide the service and they are not ready to return the money. Ultimately the customer is at LOSS. I have to pay money for other network service provider and I have to purchase new handset for new connection. They are not ready to provide the service and they are not ready to return the money. Tata Indicom is cheating the public by airing the Ads on TV’s and printed media saying ‘Our network will not drop even if you are in elevator”. I am worried who can help me on this.
