[Resolved]  Tata Sky HD Plus — Installation not done even after SLA period is over

My tata sky HD plus box installation was not done even after 4 days .They have the worst Customer care . Only gives false promises.
Below is the complaint , I sent to the nodal officer Karnataka.

Also forgot to mention, I stay in Outer Ring road, near JP Morgan, in apt complex close to the main Road.
This info is to tell the fact that , my house was not in an area which was difficult to access.

Hi,
I had purchased a TATA sky HD Plus box on 29th March with intention of watching the ICC World CUP semis and finals.
1. I called Customer care on 29th afternoon on[protected] and scheduled an installation. I was promised SLA of 72 hours for the installation. Later I got a message that my installation was scheduled on 31st march 2:45 pm and the service team contact no : [protected].
2. I called up the service Engg on 30th and asked if he could install it on that day as I was available at home to watch the semifinal of ICC WORLD CUP.He said he can do it only on 31st. I reached home early from office and waited , but the person didnt turn up. I called his number [protected] mutliple time, but he never attended my call , rest of the times his number comes busy.
3. On 1st April , the same thing happened. So I called up Customer care again and told that I dont want to miss the FINALs of WORLD cup. They told the service engg has scheduled the installation at 8pm-8:45 pm and assured me I will not miss the finals. Nobody turned up , I called the [protected] number multiple times(atleast 12 times) , but as usual ,the number was busy or not responding.

4. At night 9 pm, I called up customer care, told the story again and they forwarded the call to a person Naren( supposedly supervisor) . I told my installtion was not done even after SLA period is over. He assured me saying that he will call up the service engg and assured the installation will be complete by 2nd April morning . Later he said the service engg told my number was not reachable ( this is not true, I had called him multiple times and my number was always reachable ).He also promised , I won't miss the match and took my alternate number.
5. On 2nd April, nobody turned up or called till 10:30 am. I called up customer care and told the entire story , got the info that Installation was scheduled for 12- 1 pm and assured it will happen before the match starts. I had plans to go out, but waited at home for the service engg. But he didnt turn up till 2pm. I called up the [protected] number and it was busy.
6. At 2 pm , I called up Customer care , repeated the story , they said the installation was scheduled now for 2-5:30 pm.
So in short , I haven't got my installation done till now. I am not calling up customer care again .
I know they will promise a new time now.

Thanks a lot for your Customer Service because of which all my plans to watch the match in HD with my friends got ruined. Also thanks to your supervisor NAREN who gives great promises He should be in politics. Thanks to your service engg with the mobile number [protected] . Never returns or respond to call and I am sure he will update you saying my number was not reachable. I am sure , he doesnt know what an SMS is and how to send it , if a number is not reachable.

I was happy with my existing cable connection and did a mistake by opting for TATA sky.
I would be very happy , if you can refund my money by taking the box back . I won’t ask any questions. Just want my money back.
I am putting this details in consumer complaints forums also, for the trouble I went through for getting my connection installed( which is not yet done ).
Also for ruining my hope for watching the cricket matches even after I bought the box well in advance ( this is the 4th day ).
I will advise people to stay away TATA sky and their false promises.

I have booked a new tatasky plus HD on 26th March.Till today(5th April) installation is not done. i was assured that with 4-5 days installation will be done.But till today no one has called for instaltion.
They fixed mine on 2nd April at 7 pm during the World cup Finals. This was after so many unhappy calls to customer care .I missed some portion of the match due to the installation . But managed to watch most of India's innings.

I had given a negative feedback to their installation. Later on April 5th, the installation dept called me regarding the negative feedback. They told the delay was due to World cup.
The very fact that there will be more sale of Tata Sky during World cup calls for more service executives to fix the STBs. Most of the people who took the connection during world cup was attracted by their desire to watch world cup matches in HD. And the installation team played spoilsport on this.
