[Resolved] tatkal passport — dont know what to do? | |
i am trying to apply for tatkal passport, i have job offer from one country, they required me as soon as possible. i have letter from that company also. but as per rule, for tatkal passport they required Verification Certificate. i have that one also. but now passport officer saying that they required verification certificate on letter pad. what can i do? i am from taluka place. and our government is not giving letter pad at taluka place. i told that officer but he is not ready to accept my application as a tatkal. right now i cant do anything againt them. because i need my passport for my job. but its very bad ! may be i will lost my job because of such rules. From which officer you got verification certificate from taluka place? Have you inquired about it from passport office whether it is legal or not? Sorry buddy but I also want passport under tatkal scheme but I think only Class A officers can only produce verification certificate. please tell me who can produce verification certificate from taluka place? Please reply ASAP.

There have been similiar issues when I tried to get a passport under the tatkal scheme. I had a verfication certificate provided by the GM public sector undertaking on the company letter head along with a copy of his ID. I also had a standard affidevit signed by a notary. I was carrying the ration card, id card and all other certificates as a proof of my edu qualfctns and dob. I was however asked to come with a license. The lady there also behaved in an extremely unfriendly manner. I was sent off after standing in que for more than 4 hours despite having more than adequate documents as mentioned under the Tatkal passport scheme. It is greatly disappointing to know that despite very specific guidelines, it is ultimately the willingness of the verifying authority that matters.
