[Resolved]  Tikona — collection call from lawyer

Following are the payment details of the bill payments i made to Tikona during my connection.

After my last payment i started getting intermittent connection from tikona, and when i say intermittent i mean once in a day for a minute or two i had the connection and then for the next few hours the connection was not active. In short i had to always be alert to see which would be the minute that i will be acle to access the internet. I called up the customer support to complain about the same. Following which after a week a person from tikona removed some part of the device and said that the connection was fine, next day again the connection went off and this time it did not come up after which we called up the customer support again to report the issue and this time no one came. next week we called up again to ask for the cancellation of the connection since we had already received a bill for the not used internet connection. Following which a technician came up and informed us that the device was faulty and will be removed. We were under the assumption that the device was probably removed since it was a Wi-Max connection and the device was installed outside my house, post which we never tried to use the internet. Now a month ago we requested a new connection again from tikona(Since no other provider gives a WiMax). That was when we got to know that the old device was never removed and there was a bill of 3 months o[censored]nused internet pending for us. Since we already had a word with customer support regarding this we didn't bother to call the customer support again.
Today 9th August 2012 around 12 PM I got a call from someone who calls himself a lawyer Advocate Chaudhary and threatens me to pay the remaining bill of Rs. 3000 else pay Rs. 45000 for some case and what all, Come to Delhi and fight the case tikona has filed some complaint and all. My question is how can a collection person claim that he is advocate? Well that's none of my business, the law should look after that. But why is there no synch between the customer support and collections. I want tikona to closely look into this matter and their records corrected. I am pretty sure that i am not liable to pay any bills whatsoever. I have kept all my records clean with tikona. And finally the collections people should be taught to be professional rather than being rude and impolite.

Not only Tikona service centre, even their management attitude is similar & no one is bothered even if you escalate your complaints to their MD Mr Prakash Bajpai & COO Mr Yugal Sharma at prakash.[protected]@tikona.in & yugal.[protected]@tikona.in, which I did when it took more than a week for the installation & had to face almost similar connectivity & service issues a month after installation like Mr Nagekar & followed up almost daily with the service team but they always tried to buy some time to resolve the connection issues.Finally even after sending the notice for termination to their customer care & appelate authority Mr S Nair at s.[protected]@tikona.in & the top management, they are still sending me the bills for the same .

I would request the fellow customers to lodge a complaint in Consumer Forum to make these guys realise that they cannot take the customers for a ride & have to either fulfill their promises or refund the money for the services charged but not provided .
