[Resolved]  Tikona — Harassment from tikona

I had a tikona broadband connection (ID No [protected] ) which I requested Tikona call center and local tikona dealer to disconnect as I was relocating to other location but they did not turn up for terminating the connection. The last outstanding bill was Rs. 450 which I informed the local tikona dealer to deduct from security deposit money, Rs. 1000 paid in and the balance Rs. 550 to be refunded and the same was not done by the dealer till date.

Now all of a sudden I am getting threatening mails from Tikona about the legal action and there are fake calls from their team stating that they are High court lawyers from Delhi.

Please advice me.

Broadband — harassment

I have been using tata indicom since 3rd january 2008(prepaid 6 months pakage) . I am not sure from where to start because i am facing this problem from the very begainning and it's very rustrating one - because neither your customer care executive nor the so called nodal officer who told his name as Praveen is providing any help to me, rather they created a sericous problem by disconnecting our internet from 12th May 2008(about 10 pm).

1. Customer service has degraded like no one's business. They keep promising me every time, that today for sure they'll fix the problem and nothing happened. I kept calling them thrice or more time daily and story repeats. Everytime I lodge a complaint the feild engineer visits the next day and by the time he visits our internet starts working as if he has intentionally doing so. This thing repeated every time so lately we didn't allow him to enter our house to carry on his drama. It is then he permanantely cut off our connection and even though i called more than five times a day nothing happened till today i.e. 17.05.08 (2.40 pm). I was sure that we will get the connection back today because one of tata indicom's field engineer visit today at 2.15 pm and by chance, there was power cut during their visiting time. i was sure that as usual they have came to our house after swithichg on the button from their end as they usually do. But because there was no power at that time so they returned back saying they would visit again after an hour. i am writing to you because i am totally frustrated by the behaviour of your empoyees who are doing nothing expect for creating problems for us. I have faced ill treatement from your few officers named-suresh- the field engineer, who is playing all this game (2) Anil sharma who told me that he the boss of this area and who didn't want to listen to my point and according to whom my connection doesn't have a real problem and i am in habit of calling them for no reason (3 ) Praveen, who said he is the new customer officer and who also speak to me in the same manner as Anil sharma has talked and today when I rang the number [protected], a guy called Raghav Sinha pick up the p hone and he talk all the nonsense he could to me, as if he is doing any special favour to his customer by providing them internet.
I don't know why the employee of tataindicom broadband are behaving in such a frustrating way. As i have mentioned earlier that there is no problem ever found in our end which means the problem occurs in the other end(if any, otherwise I think it is created problem of the tataindicom employees of our area i.e East of Kailash. I want that action should be taken against these mentioned persons as they have made me suffer like hell. They are trying their level best that there is no problem whereas there was no link from 12th May 2008, night on our end. If there is any justice done by the Tata group then I am sure that I will get full judgement for the above mentioned harassment. One more thing I want to include is that the number provivded to me saying it is the number of nodal office is being picked by some other peoples and today this number is totally switched off so I think there is no possible way for a suffering person like me to share my problem with the senior office.
2. Connectivity: Has become unreliable. Many a times I don't see VSNL_BRAS_1 when I try to connect. Get 678 error#.


Please Help as last five days has been really very torturous to me due to the way tata indicom's staff dealt with me !
You're absolutely right, These guys are fraud. They also promise me for the hard copy of the bill at the time of installation. Now i've called them 20 times & written over 50 mails but getting the same response as you are.

Tata Indicom is nonthing but a bunch of nonsense & stupid ppl who showed no manners towards their customer.
You don't have to worry about these as they are not lawyers they are people from Tikona. You ask them their name, which court they are appearing and their registeration number and also record the call. As per the Indian consumer law and also Indian Penal law they should not contact the opponent party, they can only send a legal notice. If they send a threatening mail which you can take it as a wriiten proof and file a defamation case against them and also the recorded call you a raise a complaint in Cyber Crime cell near your place. Even if you are a defaulter they can only send a notice and cannot threaten.

I am really being harassed by Tikona. I hardly used their service as I faced consistent connectivity problems so I requested a termination. After taking so much time they finally terminated the account with levying some charges which they said have to be paid as the account was active at that time.

They were also not ready to honor their request to adjust the charges for non-usage which they promised me so many times when i complained them about their connectivity.

To close this matter once and for all, I made the mentioned full and final settlement payment of 1, 978 INR (after account termination) as requested and you can find their email, payment receipt enclosed herewith this mail.

Also you can find enclosed, the Client Premises Equipment (CPE) removal receipt for your reference.

I am very nervous at this point of time, as instead of getting a final no due email from Tikona (as mentioned in their full and final settlement email), soon after the settlement payment I got a message saying MY SERVICE IS RE-ACTIVATED.

Also as an added measure, i have once again called tikona care to request close this matter. the request id is for the same is: 1-[protected] for your reference.

Now their collection guys are harassing me regularly with a rude and abusive tone asking me to pay 1500 more for CPE (which i already returned and even emailed them a removal receipt), and saying otherwise the bills will be keep on being generated every month.

I am also not getting replies to any of my emails to them. I have written to Customer Care & the appellate authority (J Nair) but have got no response and am hence writing here. Please help.

I hardly used their service and paid them so much o[censored]n-ethical amount, even after that they are not closing my account and not providing me a No-Due Certificate, instead creating these weird situations.

Please help and assist me about how to take this case forward to Civil to get proper justice for this harassment.
