Tikona — Not refunding after poor quality | |||
Tikona wireless broadband is obviously a criminal enterprise as it has a tendency to compulsively cheat its customers out of their money. I had purchased a Tikona wireless broadband connection and was satisfied for the first two months. However as their router is of an inferior quality the internet connection suffered. Despite consulting technical support nothing was done for a whole month. Finally one day the executive (Santosh) informed us that there was no way Tikona would fix this probably unless I buy a new 3 month connection, for which I would have to pay no installation charges and get 4mbps. I made a payment of Rs. 5200 to the executive; he at this point had also "confirmed" that the old account was now in the process of deactivation (which takes 45 days!!!!!!). When I finally received my new connection i was only receiving 2 mbps speed and only Rs. 4000 had been credited to my account. I informed Tikona on multiple counts about the issue but they didn't do jack!! After a month o[censored]sing my BRAND NEW CONNECTION WITH THE NEW AND IMPROVED ROUTER, I was suffering from the same issue and my internet stopped working due to low quality routers. This time Tikona was even less helpful. They sent three engineers who didn't fix my connection, they never gave me 4mbps and they didn't even credit the remaining Rs.1200 in my account. I got fed up with dealing with these clowns and got myself a real internet connection and have been emailing them since the last week of July to cancel and refund my money. And once again they haven't done jack about it. I thought that this was the last straw but Tikona had another trick up their sleeve. They have been generating bills for my old account one that I have requested a cancellation for from the first week of July, and have been giving me ridiculous calls from their "recovery department" to pressure me into paying for services that I could not possibly use as the internet was not functioning properly, and believe me when I say that these people don't know how to talk on the phone, and are very persistent (unlike when they are solving complaints). I have been writing regular emails to CUSTOMERCARE, NATIONALTELLECOLL, AND S.NAIR and making phone calls, but it’s pointless. They never connect me to the supervisor; the phone will hold for really long then get disconnected. The one time that I did connect to the supervisor the coverage at his end was so bad he couldn't hear me and the phone got disconnected. It is far too obvious that Tikona are a bunch of criminals that scam whoever buys from them. The amount to be refunded to me is Rs. 4000 however Tikona keeps interchanging this amount with half the sum or a bill that I have to pay!!!!! FINALLY Tikona has shown its true colors and told me I am not eligible for a refund as I used the service for a month, and even though I paid for 3 months and didn’t receive the right speed or quality of services I will be charged the full amount despite cancelling prematurely and not using the services. IF ANYONE IS CONSIDERING TIKONA I WOULD STRONGLY ADVICE THEM NOT TO DO SO AS IT WILL ONLY RESULT IT YOU GETTING MUGGED OF YOUR MONEY. YOU’RE BETTER OF GIVING IT TO CHARITY OR EVEN BURNING YOUR MONEY TO KEEP WARM IN THE SUMMER. EITHER IS AN EXPLICITLY BETTER IDEA THAN GOING FOR THIS SORT OF DEAL. IN MY BOOKS TIKONA HAS SET AN ALL TIME LOW IN TERMS OF QUALITY AND HONESTY BY A MARGIN OF LIGHTYEARS. I AM TAKING THE MATTER TO THE CONSUMER COURT IF ANYONE WHO IS IN THE SAME RUT AS ME CAN CONTACT ME AND CREATE ONE SIMPLE CLASS ACTION. My old account no. [protected] My relatively newer account no. I gave tikona a request for a refund 4 months ago tikona hasn't done anything. I gave a request 3 days ago for pick up of payment, and they have already received the money. I received a call from tikona today saying the same dubious nonsense that they will get back to me and that they are sorry for the inconvenience. I'M afraid they don't deserve to be forgiven.
