[Resolved]  Utsav Sarees — fraud

I agree with all the complints about this fraudulent company. They operate under many different names like http://www.yourdesignerwear.com,
http//www.sareeonline.com, www.rathicreations.com etc etc. If you look at the websites they are all similar !
They have understood the loopholes of doing business beyond Indian borders without any regard for international laws.
I got fooled by all the wonderful promises and bling bling website. Of course the first order was 'not available' as they always say ! After 3 weeks I opted to make a substitute. When I go the saree as you can guess it was some reject that they couldn't sell.
I was advised to mail the saree to an apartment in New delhi and I was strongly advised not to use any postal method that would provide a tracking number !!! You get the picture ! They have mastered how to cheat every step of the way.

And of course now no tracking number and they say that they haven't received the package. They will give me a refund once they get the package. And 'please check with the post office' in USA !!!

So they get the merchandise back which they will send to another fool somewhere and they got paid in full for the saree that they got back. How brilliant and they know they are beyond the reach of the law and any other law enforcement agency.

Luckily I got the refund from my Credit card who won't get their money back from these cheats.

Next time MAKE SURE THAT YOU USE A POSTAL SERVICE THAT WILL PROVEDE A TRACKING NUMBER AND MAIL IT BACK TO THEIR BUSINESS ADDRESS IN JAIPUR.

Be forewarned as you are dealing with the biggest fraus and cheats who operate the same business under at least ten different names.

I had the same problem. I bought a saree and they didn't have it. I picked something else and I hate it. It is awful and looks like a piece of crap. They also made the petticoat too long. The only thing they are willing to do is give me 15% refund and send me a new petticoat. All I asked for was an exchange. This piece of junk for an saree and blouse piece---no stitching. They have not emailed me back, so I am going to my CC company and telling them what happened. I also got a salwar kameez that was totally the wrong size. They asked me to send it back and they are remaking a new one. It will be shipped by tomorrow and then I will complain to my CC company. It also says on their website if they make a mistake they will pay for shipping back to them and then the new item back to you. They told me they would take the shipping I paid to send it back off my next order. Well, guess what? There will not be a next order. I rather buy off ebay than buy from them. Be careful on ebay too because they sell there too. UTSAV SAREES IS A SORRY THIEF COMPANY.
I have read some negative feedbacks about Utsav, what shall I make of them?


To err is human. With so many orders being shipped, errors cannot be eliminated altogether.


But yes we try to learn from each mistake and try to improve our products and services based on customer experience feedback & repeat customers notice the speed of change / improvement in our ways & speed of change / improvement on our website.


And yes we try to make sure that unhappy customers issue is resolved to the best of our abilities.

Possible reasons for negative feedback about Utsav:


These negative feedbacks do not disclose the full picture. Microsoft products will have more negative feedbacks and hacker attacks simply because it has a very large product and user base. You cannot satisfy each and every whim. If people start believing or acting on negative feedbacks, people will stop buying Microsoft products.


Our is not an off-the-shelf mass produced product. Most of our items are customized and hand embroidered.


Utsavs 90% orders are customized as per customer instructions. Unlike competition which deal in only unstitched items or standard sizes. Just like first set of cars from FORD you can choose any color you want as long as it is black.


Utsav catalog has more than 20000 active items, while all of competition websites taken together does not have more than 2000 active items.


Utsav handles much more volume of orders, thus its negative feedbacks are more visible. While competition many a times show zero feedbacks, simply because they are shipping very few orders.


Happy customers are less likely to post positive comments, while unhappy customers make it a point to post comments at times on multiple forums. If all happy customers start posting comments, then it will show the ratio of happy v/s. unhappy customers.


Many a times customers submit wrong measurements or they gain or loose weight, by the time they get to wear the blouse which is a body hugging garment.


Sometimes customers fill they want a sleeveless blouse with 6 inches sleeve length or such other contradictory numbers. If you wait to get the clarification from them, their weekend party deadline cannot be met. Either way we are doomed.


Many do not realize that even if they get something tailored locally, it will take multiple sessions of trial and alteration to get the perfect fit. But when they buy online from us they expect it to be perfect. Double standards what say? Not fair. Still we offer free, no question asked alteration service.


Many of the customers pay using their husbands / parents credit card and while ordering enter their email id in place of their own id. Now all measurement clarification etc emails do not reach them. Then there are spam filters and auto shift to junk folder. Or typos like [protected]@hotmale.com etc. What can one do in such situations?


Many of the customers revise their instructionsng andzing and styling multiple times and describe them in such lengthy contradictory sentences. Even senior designer and tailor team leader get headache making sense out of them. No doubt they keep headache pills handy. On top of it they sometime specify neck style from one email id, sleeve style from some other email id, trouser style on phone, to make the dress as shown on mobile text, yet some other instruction on live chat and many a times do not quote their order number and do not quote our response at all making it even harder to put the whole story together. And with so much of customization freedom which we allow, the impossible deadlines for delivery for that crucial party.


Many customers do not appreciate that details of all changes / special instructions MUST be repeated via email after order. We have recently had cases, where the customer has expected his / her order to be executed, incorporating changes suggested by her via email, weeks even months before actual date of order. We will NOT check email history before executing an order. If no email containing Special Instructions / Changes is received at the time of order or immediately AFTER order is placed, order will be executed without any changes.


Many of the customers do not appreciate the fact that chamki or sequences or crystals & stones etc sometime come off despite best of handling and packaging in embroidered and embellished items.


Many customers do not appreciate the fact that colors will sometime look different in different situations camera / scanner / monitor / settings / sunlight / indoors / angle of viewing etc.


Many customers do not understand the difference between hand and machine embroidery. In machine embroidery every piece will have exact same color stones / thread / pattern. But in hand embroidery every piece will have minor differences based on each artisans creative judgment.


Many customers start posting negative comments even before giving us a chance to rectify the situation. Even when we resolve the issue to their utmost satisfaction, they do not feel the moral need to write a positive follow up post as to how we handled the issue.


May be those are posted by competition to badmouth Utsav. You never know.

So our advise is to use your own head and do not depend on second hand opinions.

Even if you yourself have had a bad experience with us in the past, we request you to give us a second chance.
Those customers who have given us a second chance are happy for their decision.
We thank you them for being patient with us.

as par company agreemant every month my commition is transefer to my bank acount. ihave join company on dec-2008. but till the date i have not receive my commition.
I am a happy customer at Utsav with no complaints so far, and I get compliments on all my dresses that I had bought from them. Yes, it is true I haven't posted any positive feedback because I got busy ordering more items from them.
Utsav, I think you have a big attitude problem. You say no other website has such large product range nor does such volume of business as you do. Do not make fool of yourself...its shows your ignorance...

I would say there are so many websites which offers customised clothing, check out Saree World, check eshakti.or cbazaar..what do you think you can fool consumers by making all these false statements. Consumers are smarter than you so never ever try to fool around.

For Gods sake stop cheating and rephrase your UTSAV ANTHEM in your website that you are the top fraudsters...
This company is a fraud. They sell a very low quality product, both in material and workmanship. You will never recieve it on time. Their staff is always lying. I would never recommend them. I gave them several chances. I should have stopped on my first try.
UTSAV SAREES IS A FRAUD COMPANY WITH NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER... I had ordered many items from the company, and they messed up everything... They sent me a wrong parcel and keep goving me promises to track my correct items... I am very disappointed with the service, will never order from it again...
I ordered apparel 4 months ago with utsav of 149. dollars. They promised to ship my order in 2 to 3 days. I choose items from their express delivery option which was ready to ship. I had some important occation going on so only for thier express delivery facility I choose to do buainess with them. But they cheated on me. They ship after almost 2 months of my order date. Even they did not feel kine to inform me about that. I was so busy with guests came to visit my home USA from India. Moreover, I delivered my baby only 2.5 months ago when I orderd with utsav. So, I was very busy. But my guests from india including my In laws wanted see me in indain outifts. I fall for lots of fake and false positive reviews o[censored]tsav on thier website. I wanted clothes urgently so, I did not did further reaserch about this company and did online payment with them.

When I did not get my clothes 10 days after I placed order than I contacted them by email. They said they are facing problem and They will ship my order in 3 to 4 days. They gave me same type of promise atleast 6 to 7 times, every time I did inquiry about my oprder. "Legally and Morally, They should have inform me after 2 days pass from my order date that "Dear Madam, We can not ship your order in the timeline we promised you at time of the placing order. we can not promise any shipping time for your items right now. So, would you like to wait for your items or would you like to cancel the order?" instead of doing this they did not inform me at all. even after I explain my problem to them that now I missed my occasion and I only choose you because express delivery option of yours. they did not offer refund and all they give me is: false promise about delivery.

After almost two months, When I recieved the items: fittings were horrible, some of them were doubled of my size and some of were short and small for my size, designs were totally changed and it was hard to recognise for my both blouse or choli's that which one is the front part and which one is the back. By first look anybody could tell that this is a work of some inexperienced, inefficient tailors work. Even, it's a shame to call a tailor to the person which stiched my clothes. it was useless for wearing and imrepairable. it was shock for me that after waiting for so long time and after I missed my all occasion to wear those items, Finally when I received them, it was useless. I have done online shpooing many times for indian clothes and I have measure my body and had provided body measurement many times and always had received perfect fittings. Sometimes little bit loose or tight fitting is understanble. Slight different in designs are also understandable. But totally size change and design change is not understandable and acceptable at all which Utsav sarees has done with me. When I asked for refund they told me we will only do ultration and will not give any refund.

Now, I send them all items back in end of the August 2010 and this is end of October 2010, I have received nothing from them. Whenever I did inquiry, again they started give me promise that they will ship in 2 to 3 days. For last 2 months they are saying same things to me but did Not sending anything.

Now I got tired because this is 4 months passed after I have paid for my items(mid of June 2010) and never got to wear them. So, I told them twice last month that pl. return my items with all changes or return my money because it's very long time and I have waited enough but there is no action from their side.

So, finally I gave them final notice by email that pl. return my money. I don't want your items anymore because: 1. You exceeded the time limits of shipping which is 4 months and 2. You have done very bad job in stitching and moreover I have already missed my all occasions to wear it and those are useless for me now.

After, I send them this email they stop replying my email, They took my money for free and haven't send me anything till today and haven't refund my money yet.

I strongly recommend that never do shopping with them.

I had the same problem with this site. They take order and never deliver before 2 months. But the readers must know that if you pay by credit card, it's your right to initiate a chargeback if goods not supplied in time. Even after you receive the goods and they are not as requested or even expected, simply go for chargeback. Call your card issuing bank, explain situation and tell them VISA/MASTER/DISCOVER/AMEX all have a policy that consumer has a right to decline charges false or true and please deny charges. You should follow such steps with a frauds like this website.
Hey it's me again. And yes, you can deny charges for up to 12 months from the charge date so don't worry if you have been cheated by them in past 12 months deny charges.

As everyone knows, there are two part of a coin and both are different to each other. If you spin the coin then every time it won't come head sometimes it will come tail. I have been a regular customer o[censored]TSAV and always provide my right measurement that's why I never got any stitching problem with my outfits. And being a customer we should think if you see anything on the computer then it varies if you see same thing on different computer due to your monitor's screen resolution. I wanted to show you so many stuff I bought from UTSAV but I don't see any option to attaching the file.
I agree with all the complaints o[censored]tsav Saree, I had placed an order for two Saries, one was delivered but a cheaper version of what I had ordered and yet charged the same price. I was also charged for my free gifts and my second saree was never delivered and it has been a month, contacted their customer service for a refund and no one ever got back to me and the phone lines never seem to connect for their customer service.

My opinion is never use their services again,

Utsav sarees are big frauds and liars. I purchased item no MCN41, art silk kurta pajama for my husband. They sent me a set with the size tag deliberately ripped off. The pajama is too small and only a 13 year old kid can wear it. The kurta is too small at the armholes. How pathetic and bad o[censored]tsav, trying to palm off substandard material to unsuspecting consumers.

Since they have taken care to rip the size tag out, I cannot argue with them. Biggest cheats they are.
If they have the silghtest bit of decency, they should own up to their mistake and replace the defective item with a good one at their cost. But they are so cheap, I do not expect this.
If they have the slightest bit of self respect, they should refund my money fully if a replacement is not possible.
And thanks to Utsav, they totally ruined what I had planned as a birthday gift for my husband. And they spoilt both his as well my day...
They lost a customer in me... but I do not think they are bothered.
Just keep away from this shopping portal.
This company will spoil the reputation of honest shopping portals in the Indian and the international market. Stern action needs to be taken against them.
Utsav disappointed me. My husband ordered 2 sarees for me 10 days before valentine day. But at the end, i was shocked to received tracking information email that only one saree delivered out. When i query utsav on this matter, they said there's some problem with the 2nd saree is the raw material defect. That too, i got to know after i email and query on the 2nd piece. As a service provider, utsav never take efford to inform customer on whichever delays or in any inconvenient caused. Utsav wanted me to go for another item since thats the last piece they got. So its the day i decided to chat with their online customer service since i can't find any saree within that range. Refund of money either not worth-it to me since i'm loosing my money due to currency conversion. Utsav's staff name of Rocky said he will do replacement to another saree whichever i choose without myself paying any extra money & its the difference about USD5.
The next day i received an email asking me to pay the due amount of replacement item which about USD5.
This is when i decided to fight back with the customer service & this time i spoken with Somnath; a bad stupid and rude customer service guy i ever talked. He were saying there is no a "promise" word by rocky so they can't take any steps without me paying the different of amt.
That uneducated somanath, not replying correctly to whatever i were asking & end-up ending the chat session without hearing any decision from me.
I get nothing then sad bad hurt & cries on Valentine day just because of stupid utsav! I didn't even receive the item saying that has been delivered & it suppose overnight shipping but utsav send out the item 2 days after payment confirmation done.
Really stupid ! & after receiving the sarees, i noticed they didn't even send my free gift!!!
So sad that I am reading this TOO LATE !!! Another story as above, Utsav have taken my money for 3 orders and just never delivered. Also they ignore all of my emails and now I just Hate them so much I can't believe it. They give India a bad name by their criminal, fraudulent and disgusting behaviour. In particular it is SO OFFENSIVE that you can see the pathetic essays from UTSAV employee's here trying to discredit ALL the Genuine, Unhappy customers that they have tricked and RIPPED OFF. Why not you are trying amgsquare.com They are displaying only those products which are available in their stock.More over they are dealing in only authentic handloom products.
This is the fraudest site that has ever survived. I bought lehengas from this site. They cancelled 2 orders and finally sent the third with a messed up measurements. They agreed to pay for postage charge if I returned the lehenga. What a fool I was to believe that they would ever return the lehenga back to me with alteration let alone pay me back my postal charge to send the lehenga back to them. It is better to spend 100 usd more and buy from a decent site than to spend 1 usd to buy from this site.
May God punish these rascals for cheating customers.
