[Resolved]  Videocon Mobile - V 1306 — Service center not returning my Cell even after one month

Dear sir,

I purchased a Videocon V1306 cell phone on Jul 13, 2010. I used the handset hardly for 3 weeks. One fine day, I found that my display is not working. I submitted my cell phone to the authorised service center at cochin (Accel Frontline Services Limited, Cochin) on Sep 6, 2010. They intimated me that my cell will be repaired in ten days under warranty and gave a receipt regarding the same. After ten days when i contacted the service center, they said that my cell is not repaired and I have to pay Rs. 700/- for repairing it. When i intimated them that I was told my cell will be repaired under warranty, they reduced the amount to Rs. 437/- (They said its the cost of the display and it is not covered under warranty). I agreed to pay the amount and they promised to repair my cell in a weeks time. In the meantime I e mailed the support team as I had doubts regarding the warranty terms. They also explained that it will not be covered under warranty.

But even after one more week, my cell is not being repaired. I emailed the support team a couple of times more and they kept on promising me that my issue will be promised. Inspite of all these promises, my cell is not repaired yet. I am contacting the service center every two days for checking the status. Now they are claiming that the spares for videocon mobiles are not at all avaialable. Today (8 october 2010) I requested the service center people to return my cell so that i can use it. I promised them to give my phone once the spares arrive. But they are hesistant to return my phone. They said they will call me back and so far I received no calls.

I request you to take steps:
1. either to repair my cell
2. if spares for videocon cell is not available as stated by your service center, replace my cell
3. or compensate for the money and other difficulties I suffered.
