[Resolved]  Vodafone — Amount calculated after Deactivation

Address:Tamil Nadu

I have been using Vodafone Postpaid connection for past 4.6 years. Since I left India I De-activated my Vodafone number. when I called the Vodafone Customer care they told that De-activation request will take one week to get processed. So I called them a week before my travel date and placed the request. On my travel date my Outgoing calls and Msgs were barred.
At end of that billing cycle I got the bill for that whole month (half of the month I did not use). The next 2 months also I got the bill for the number which was De-activated.
Now I got a mail stating that "DEMAND LEGAL NOTICE".
I have already mailed to Vodafone that amount has been calculated for the months I haven't used. They dint reply for that mail and they have sent a legal notice.

This is unfair. I dint think Vodafone have such a policy.

Hi,

I am attaching my bill as a proof for calling the customer care for De-activation. I have called 111 from my Vodafone postpaid number on 05-Apr-2013 to enquire the procedure for De-activation. Again I have called on 07-Apr-2013 to ask them whether I have to give a written proof for De-activation, they told its not necessary. Again I have called the 111 on 09-Apr-2013, 8pm and placed the De-activation request.
In the attachment it shows the outgoing calls only till 10-Apr-2013. I have requested the De-Activation on 09-Apr-2013; they told the process will take 7 working days so the number should have De-activated on 18-Apr-2013(Max). My bill gets generated on 05th of every month. So there was enough time for De-activation.
I have mailed Mr. Daniel Jabez and Sivakumar Natarajan on this. I dint get any reply from them.
Daniel Jabez (CHN-NE)" <Daniel.[protected]@vodafone.com>
Sivakumar Natarajan (CHN-NE), Vodafone India <Sivakumar.[protected]@vodafone.com>

Kindly advice me and give me the reason why I have to pay May month bill.
