[Resolved]  Vodafone — Vodafone not terminating number even after multiple requests and generating bills, when all services are banned.

Hi,
My number from Vodafone [protected], is non operational from past seven to eight months, as I had discontinued using this number, after switching to another number from Vodafone, the bills of which were regularly paid by me, i got Advocate notice for not paying the bill of the discontinued number, on receival of this letter I paid the remaining dues in cash to a Vodafone cash collection agent and along with this payment I had submitted a letter for discontinuation, though Vodafone received the payment and with this assumed that the number would be discontinued, but to my surprise I found another bill having only rentals and these kind of bills are stilling comming. On back checking with Vodafone i was told that they had received the payment but not the letter, when i questioned this, one of the cust care exec spoke rudely. All the services on this number has been barred and I am also not using this number, but the bills are regularly generated. I feel this is ridiculous when the services has been terminated and no calls are being metered and I have also requested multiple times for number termination why are the bills being generated.

Vodafone — My number got Ban even after full payment

Earlier My number got Baad due to pending payment of bill, i paid whole amount of Rs 1000 @ 6 Pm on 15th June 08. after few hrs my number started working now today in the morning around 9 am it got Baad again. Now i am not able to sms or call without any reason i'm suffering from this problem.
Here are few details:

Vodafone — Vodafone is not Deactivating the number after several request

Hi All,

This is a bizzare case in which I've taken connection (No-[protected]) from Vodafone (Postpaid Service) in year 2008 at Delhi. Recently I got married and moved to Mumbai now I want to cancel/deactivate number so I went to Vodafone store in Mumbai and requested for cacellation. They denied saying they can't do it as it is a Delhi number.

When I call customer care and tell them to deactivate my number, they ask me to hold the line and hang-up the phone thereafter.

It happened 28 times altogether in 15 days.

I tried e-mailing to their customer care ID, but no body replied back. I e-mailed them 5 times.

As I have no plan to go to Delhi in near future I am still wondering how to cancel it as they have left no option of cacelling it .


In the meantime I am paying the Monthly rental (Rs. 500) for no cause.

This is now getting so much so on my nerves that I am seriously thinking of taking them to consumer court.


This is simply harassing move by any cell fone company.

Vodafone — Ph blocked even after payment

Hi Sir / Madam,

Myself Amit Rastogi, I am a Vodafone customer (987*******), since years but today I am facing such a problem which I can’t even imagine and expect from such a huge and company, I am trying to pay my bill since 3 weeks through your cheque pickup facility and calling again and again to customer care, my first cheque pickup request was on 10th Feb 2010 then on 16th, then again on 17th but nobody is coming at my place just because an agency from Vodafone calling me since 3 weeks and asking me to pay the bill and says that they won’t send their executive at my place, I was surprised that many of the times I request Vodafone care for cheque pickup, I enquired about this to customer care, they said they will do something for this, but nothings was done, finally I have a complaint no for this ([protected]), which was done on 20/2//2010 by Ms Manjeet, but still nothing is done till now and the situation is this now that my number is blocked, Thanks to Vodafone, is this the service which a customer expects from a company, even my limit is Rs.10,000 and my ph is blocked just for few hundred rupees.



Agency details from which they were calling, who said they won’t send any executive at my place.

I am hutch no holder since last 5 years approx.Now since last 4 mpnth I am harrassed that I have to submit my identity papers once again. Last Month of July I have been submitted my paper to your stpre at Bhiwadi on 19.072010.Even than masage are sent to my mobile for furnished the new Dastabez, Again I have been submitted my papers to Bhiwadi UIT Store, again u are sending massage, and I did complain not to send any more because I have already submitted all the paper with new form singed and photograf attached. NOW regret to inform you u have disconeect my outgoing services frommy mobile . if you are not interest extend the business kindly send my money back in my prepaid card please. nor you immediately start my mobile services.

Vodafone — Bill generated after cancellation request of number

Attached is email chain. Please refer my very first mail. It was to stop services on vodafone postpaid number on 8 march 2012. Now they have sent me bill for complete month with full monthly charges and are also saying that we will send a bill for april month also because request for number cancellation was initiated on 9th april. They added, due to some system issues, they were not been able to initiate cancellation procedure on 8th march and hence i have to make full payment for current bill and next month bill.
I want my current bill properly adjusted wrt 8-3-2012 date and also i am not expecting any bill in future for this number.
