[Resolved]  Vodafone — vodafone wrong billing & compensation

Hello Sir,

I am using Vodafone for last two years and regular customer of vodafone. I have never late payment or disput history. I use this mobile in roaming as well. This time I went to Dubai and accordingly changed my talktime plan. The officer didnot informed me anything regarding international roaming except for incomeing, outgoing call charges & sms charges.



While coming to dubai , I did not activated any GPRS, neither I was using GPRS service in Ahmedabad. Whicle activation of GPRS, they send confirmation massage, but here no such confirmation is taken. I was not aware of this system, as I have never been told about. Also, Vodafon Live service is totally free in Gujarat circle, I cheked on website too. Then how they can automatically activate GPRS without knowledge of customer?



While going to Dubai , I paid 3000/- as advance so that monthly bill amount can be adjusted.



The matter is that, on billing generation date Vodafone sent me bill for the month of July of Rs. 6767/- including GPRS charges of 5638/- which was never used by me!!



After a few days they disconnected all my vodafone services. I mailed them and wrote regarding the blockage of my services and they solved it after a week, till that I lost my business of almost Rs. 50000/-



Again for next month of August 09 they sent me bill of Rs. 25010/- including GPRS charges of Rs. 16540/-. I again mailed for the issue, then a representative called me and told to deposit Rs.1200/- as a partial charges so that they will activate the blockage. I paid that amount also scaring that they will again stop service.



In the third month they sent me bill of Rs. 2439/- after adjusting Rs. 21794/- for wrongly debited GPRS charges. But they blocked service on 14 sep to 16 sep and after my mail, they wrote first to pay outstanding amount and then they will activate the service. However, they activated service for two days and again on 19 sep stopped which is still not activated. I wrote them that this amount of Rs.2439/- is still not agreeable, however I shall pay it by Monday i.e. 21st sep but they have not taken any action.



Now, I am not interested in Vodafone, instead as per my records, I have credit balance of 28/- after all the adjustments. Now I want to sue Vodafon Essar for Stress, Pestering, harassment and loss in my business for total 14 days. I demand for compensation of Rs. 70000/- .
