[Resolved] Vodafone — Wrong billing and Legal Notice
I was a Vodafone customer from November 2007 to April 2008. I changed my plan from February 2008 which promised me a Re. 1 charge for both incoming and outgoing when in roaming. I used to spend a considerable amount of time in roaming and so, had to pay a bill close to Rs. 3000 every month. I had a doubt and therefore, consulted the Vodafone customer care. They said that I was billed at Re. 1 and there was no discrepancy. In March, they gave me a bill of Rs. 3500+ and then I checked to see that I was billed at Rs. 2+ for outgoing and Re. 1+ for incoming during roaming. I personally visited Alipore center, Kankurgachi center and Tollygunger center to complain about this. They suggested me to wait for a revised bill. They started calling me up to sort the issue and there were a couple of threatening calls also from their executives. Then suddenly they stopped calling me and sent me a legal notice to go to the LOK ADALAT. The concern is that I was actually billed for Rs. 3500+ during April and now they have sent me a notice bill of Rs. 1876.24. If this is the revised amount, why was I not notified about this? Was this information helpful?
