[Resolved]  Vodafone, Chennai — Very poor response from the help desk of Vodafone Chennai

Hi:

I’ am a Vodafone mobile service provider based out of Chennai. I have been with them for over 2+ years and have been more than happy until recent past. I had requested for changing the caller tune from my existing one to a new one called "Mauliyil" based from Malayalam instrumental with the code "12200343" on 25th March 2009. I also got a confirmation msg stating that the same song has been set as my caller tune. But it turned out that it started playing some crazy Hindi song where a female sings a crying song. I lodged a formal complaint on 25th march 2009 but the persom in the help desk did not send me the complaint no. his name is Ashmith. I again lodged a complain with a lady by name Saranya and she acknowledge the problem with a registration number[protected]. This was on 27th March and it said it will be attended and rectified by 30th March 2009 but no action was taken. Because of this I lodged another complain to the help desk. This time it was a lady by name Pramila and she acknowledged the problem and sent a registration number - [protected] where it was promised of a action before 3:09 PM on 2nd April. They were mentioning it it to the minute for their response and today its 6th April and still no response.

I visited the Vodafone store at TTK road, Alwarpet and lodged a complaint and the person the acknowledged the problem and sent a mail with a copy being marked to me. This was on 31st March and he said within two days it will be solved but I had to be only disappointed.

When I called up the help desk regarding this, the person who collected all the details hanged up the phone after hearing me. When i tried second time this day to the help desk, a person by name Arvind attend the call, he again gathered all the details and said it will be rectified soon but refused to give nay time line. When I told him that I’ am going to lodge a severe protest on the internet thru blogs he said I may go ahead with it, making mockery of the attention it would receive. I request everybody or anyone who really cares about real customer response and services extended by companies take this severely and take the help desk to task, who behaves in such fashion.

I hope we really show our strength for people who mocked the power internet blogs and forums through our action.

you are absolutelt right vimal, vodafone they sleep on the issue. they never solve.
funniest part every time we speak to different people and we have explain the same customer history to them each time.
very pathetic response from vodafone.
vodafone, they say the are happy to help, in infact they are least bothered to help.
i even told them i will surrended the line, still they turn a dear ear.
i had a problem with a bill, i had to visit their store 3 times, everry time vasting almost half a day because their stupid queue.
crazy vodafone. i will never recommend to anyone nor buy in future.

The worst mobile phone service is Vodafone. The staff are hooligans and they are after cheatig with iflated bills.
They represent what a service soctor must not be!!! The lines are bad, network coverage is inadequate, signals are low, calls drop, bills are inflated and the staff including their corporate office managers - never respond. They even send hooligans at odd hours to residences. I spoke to some of their senior managers; and found them arrogant, vain, and asinine.
Vodafone is therefore being called VOIDFONE!

The only language they understand is abuse. I had several issues and with simple complaints, they never got resolved. Only after you shout at them, using unparliamentary words, they wake up; take up your problem and try to resolve it.

You can call one Sundar Rajan at [protected]. He is some manager for customer care. You have to explain him properly and slowly, as his understanding is low. There is one Simrat - she sounds smarter and proactive. You can ask for her at [protected] (IF SOMEONE ONLY PICKS UP THE PHONE THOUGH).

But like LATON KE BHOOT BATON SE NAHIN MANTE, these guys understand only when you shout at them.

I know it is tough to change a number and provider after having used it for a long time. Imagine, I have been using hutch from the day they came here. But I decided to change over to another provider as Vodafone services are awful. Someone told me others may not be better; but my repartee was no one's service can be as appalling as that of Vodafone.

Good Luck. But should not it be called VIODFONE (my son had explained to me the word vodafone is from voice and data fone)!

I spoke to MR karthik from cmr are he is so hard and rude while speaking to me im totally disappoited with the worst service of vodafone and i need some action to b taken him . He was just keeping me on hold for more than 15 min just a comlaint call .

Very good service i appreciate .

I had a same problem. Ridiculous service by them..
Vodofone had been billing me on a wrong plan for six months.When i noticed that on Oct 13, I called them to register my complaint.Somebody from Vodofone changed the plan I had with them.I had never changed my plan. They were stonewalling all reasonable request to correct the billing since it went wrong without my notice. I believe I had lost Rs 4k because of this billing mistake. I am pursuing this since Oct 13 and will never give up until it is corrected.
I relocated from Singapore.This sort of thing will never happen there.If it happened they will gracefully refund the excess billing plus they will make sure you get sizable gifts to show they value your clientele.
Here they are courteous but obstinate and never consider the case on merit and looks like robotic in answers and care.

I have purchased Vodofone Data card on 9 - 4 - 2012. Initially it was not connected with my system. Then I complaint to RIP Marthandam. Then it was connected. The vodofone range is very less. Then I complaint about this problem to vodofone office at Marthandam. After few days a team visited my house and they turn the tower at Kuzhithurai. That time the downloading speed was about 45 kbps, the speed was bit slow even though I was able to brows. The team told to me within 10 days we increase the height of the tower at Ethavilai after that we will get net with normal speed. But I was able to brows only for about 10 days. Now - a - days at most of the time the downloading speed is about 0 kbps, So I am unabe to brows. So I request you to kindly to rectify this problem. Thanking You.
