[Resolved]  Vodafone Essar Ltd. — Failure to provide mobile telephone service.

I am a subscriber of Vodafone Essar Mobile Telephone service and my Mobile phone number is [protected]. My wife and my son are also subscribers of Vodafone Mobile. I am a Business consultant and my wife and son are serving for the national airlines. We all are totally dependent on phone services for our business or job. Whereas, I have to be in constant touch with my business clients, my son receives all his job related information like pick ups, flight scheduling information, etc. on phone. We are staying at 725, Khurshed Mahal, Dr. Dinshaw Master Road, Parsi colony, Dadar, Mumbai 400014. Since the past four months we are neither able to receive or make any calls when we are at our residence. Prior to these four months, the mobile signal strength in our locality was normal and we had no problem at all. I have been following up with Vodafone Essar Ltd. since the past four months and especially with their officer named Mr. Errol Loreno on his e-mail id is Errol.[protected]@vodafone.com and Mobile number is [protected] to get this problem resolved. Vodafone has acknowledged that the signal strength in our residential locality is poor and requires upgradation. They have on each of the occasions informed me that they are looking into this matter to provide additional infrastructure to take care of this problem of subscribers in our locality and every time they have informed me that the problem will be resolved in the next two to three days. This is going on since the last four months. Besides myself there are several other Vodafone subscribers who are facing similar problems and who have also complained to Vodafone. Sir, this failure of mobile service to us has resulted in major dissatisfaction amongst my clients who are not able to reach me at crucial times. My son has faced problems with his employers for missing out important calls and resulting in disruption of reporting to work on time. My mother-in-law who resides at Navsari in Gujarat is not keeping good health since a few months and we need to be in daily touch with her on phone. We are undergoing a lot of mental tension because we cannot receive calls from her side. We have to daily go to the STD telephone booth to make calls to her. I sincerely state that we are under tremendous tension on account of the failure on the part of Vodafone to provide proper services since we are cut off from business clients and family and friends when we are located at our home. We have unfailingly paid all the monthly bills in spite of receiving such horrible service. Sir, I sincerely request you to take up my complaint with Vodafone Essar Ltd. through your prestigious forum and see that justice is done to me and my family and proper services are restored.
