[Resolved]  Vodafone — Fraud Scheme

Address:Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

Sir,
I have been a regular user of the Vodafone no. [protected] since the last six years.
On the 7th of January, 2011 I got a call from a supposed tele-caller who informed me that my number had been shortlisted to receive an amount of Rs. 50, 000. On inquiring about the scheme, he convinced me that the company periodically selects certain numbers to which this cash prize is given. He also said that this money can be had only if I deposit Rs. 250 in the form of recharge coupons and also register the secret code and serial numbers of the same. Keeping in mind the repute of the company, I went ahead and bought the recharge coupons. After I had provided the details required to the telecaller, he assured me that I would receive intimation within an hour. However, within the next half an hour I got another call from the same caller, telling me that I would have to deposit another
Rs. 200 again because the company wants Rs 450 in total and this amount will be reimbursed when the Rs 50,000 is deposited in my bank account. I took the chance and was assured the same thing that the scheme is not fraud and that I would receive the intimation. No intimation came. On Saturday the 8th, I checked up the matter with the caller, who then informed me that the last Rs 200 I had deposited the previous evening, was not showing on the computer and so I would have to pay that amount again. I tried to reason out with him that as per the instructions, I had deposited Rs 450 and if that amount has not been entered on the computer it is their fault. He remained adamant stating that nothing could be done. Then, I offered to register the numbers again as I had the coupons with me but the response was negative.

Sir, I feel cheated because I did comply with the instructions and because of their technical and personnel fault, I have lost my money as well as my faith. Kindly look in to the matter and do what is necessary. I am providing all the details below.

Vodafone — Cheated by informing fraud scheme

I received a call for conversion of my prepaid into postpaid connection from vodafone executive Aman Srivastava of Okhla phase-2 office New Delhi.
Firstly he told me that in Rs249 plan i'l get 500min local mobile to mobile free, so i accepted the conversion of my prepaid into postpaid.
I confirmed this plan by calling their customer care, from there i came to know that no such plans exists.
Then i again got call from same executive so I questioned him of his loyality. he said sorry sir since my father died so i was on leave for 2months so was unupdated of plan.

Then he told me different plan that in Rs 249 plan I'll get 350min local mobile to mobile free. and call charges will be as follows
local m2m: 30p/min
local m2LL: 50p/min
STD mobile to any network: Rs1.20/min
On roaming all STD and local incoming and outgoing calls @Rs1/min.
So i accepted again. But when the SIM delievery executive(Amit) came I made him to write all the rates and sign that as proof.
Then I got the sim. but when i received the call from verification dept. they told different rates. i.e.
local m2m: 30p/min
local m2LL: 50p/min
STD Vodafone to vodafone: Rs1/min
STD Vodafone to others: Rs1.50/min
On roaming STD outgoing calls @Rs1/min, and local incoming, [protected]@Rs1/min
So i agin found myself cheated, hence i didn't activated my postpaid sim. I was continuously getting calls from customer care for activation so i told i'll activate this no. if they will let me talk that Aman Srivastava. So finally i talked him, and questioned him why did he lie me?
He gave an excuse that sir since my fathed died so i was on leave. I have tremendous pressure to complete me targets so i lied you to lure you and make a sale.
Kindly help me to command these frauds. I want action against company.
