[Resolved] Vodafone — Number Discontinued | |||
I was using a vodafone number - [protected] for past six years. The number was discontinued by the service provider by giving a notice of 24 hours via SMS that too was not received at my end. The number was carrying a life time validity and Vodafone was have my complete details including address and id proofs. I tried to follow up with the customer care and nodal officer to reactivate the number. Post multiple requests i was informed that the number cannot be reactivated because it has been sold to another customer. This was a very sad experience where the esteemed organizations like vodafone act irresponsibly by passing not only my number to another customer without my knowledge but also all sensitive financial information that was being pushed to the number. Its a breach of individual privacy and act to promote possible online frauds. Finally I tried to approach the applet of vodafone but they never even replied back. I have a complete mail trail available with me that can be provided on demand if required. The only request is to avoid using Vodafone or any service provide that has least concern about your personal information security and privacy. Was this information helpful? | |||
