[Resolved] Whirlpool — Defective Washing Machine & poor Customer Care
We purchased a Whirlpool Washing Machine FL 5 kg ABM 551 for Rs 18,000 + Rs 720 for 2 yrs extended warranty from Croma, South extension, N.Delhi on 30/05/2010. The machine never worked & has been defective from the beginning. Five complaints have been lodged, the machine has been repaired twice and remaining 3 complains have not been attended to :
1. Complaint # DL[protected] dtd July
2. Complaint # DL[protected] dtd 10th Aug ‘10
3. Complaint # DL[protected] dtd 16th Aug ‘10
4. Complaint # DL[protected] dtd 8th Sep ’10.
Since the piece was found to be defective, it was sent to the Whirlpool Service Centre. The W/M was returned from the Service Centre but still could not be commissioned and restored to working condition. The W/M is inherently defective and the Whirlpool Customer Care System arbitrarily removes the complaint number each time without ensuring the problem has been rectified. Between 10th Aug 2010 and today, more than one month has elapsed and the W/M has still not been restored to working condition even once. We have sent numerous feedback of dissatisfaction over SMS & phone but to no avail. Upon requesting to escalate the matter to higher level, we are not provided with any contact but repeatedly told that a Supervisor will call us within 2 hours. On all 4 occasions, no Supervisor called!!. Not only has Whirlpool supplied a defective & inferior product, it has a flawed Customer Care Dept. which is lax, fails to act and is ill-equipped to resolve any problem. Who can help?
