[Resolved]  Window AC — INACTION BY SAMSUNG SERVICE CENTRE

Address:Kota, Rajasthan

I have recently purchased an Air Conditioner (Window) from SAMSUNG authorised dealer in Kota on 12 Mar 2011. The model No. is AW182Z.

Despite repeated interactions with SAMSUNG Service centre (Telephone Number [protected]) and local Service Centre at Kota (Complaint Number [protected]), no engineer from SAMSUNG visited me for fitment or for giving the demonstration on the new product I had bought. As a result I had to get the same installed through local carpenter under my own arrangements. It is really ironic that despite my requesting for the fitment/demonstration by SAMSUNG authorised service executive, there has been no response from the company side. SAMSUNG service engineer is yet to visit me to give demo on the product.

By showing such apathy towards one of their loyal customers, SAMSUNG has added one more name in the list of their dissatisfied customers. Unfortunately, I have couple of SAMSUNG products in my household but it is going to be the last time I have bought any SAMSUNG product.

After getting fed up from inaction by SAMSUNG to resolve my problem, Now I am contemplating initiating a legal action against them for deficiency of service by not attending to my bona fide request. In view of this, Can anybody provide me the following details by comments or return e mail ([protected]@yahoo.com):

(a) Name, address and Telephone Number of the Gentleman who is Head of operations of SAMSUNG in India.

(b) Name, Appointment, address and Telephone Number of the Office responsible to handle legal issues of SAMSUNG in India.

Regards,

Sudhakar Tyagi

Window AC — AC Service Required - Customer Care Appalling!

I called the 24x7 service line yesterday (Saturday) morning to get someone to service my two window ACs- I was assured that someone would be there by 8 pm Saturday. I sat at home the entire day waiting and late evening I received a call from an engineer saying that he couldnt make it but he would come the next day (Sunday).

Today morning I called the service line again and the engineer's number (Rizvi service centre - one line was engaged throughout, the other line was not operational) a few times and I am now told by the samsung customer care executive ("Sagar Kumar Chaudhary") at midday on Sunday that:

(a) it is not possible to send anyone to service appliances on a Sunday because the call centre is 24x7 but the services are not, despite the assurances I heard from the customer care executive ("Charles") as well as the engineer yesterday; and
(b) it is not possible to speak to a supervisor and the only thing the customer care executive can do is to email the engineer (who may or may not receive or read or respond to the email)
(c) I need to call back, re-register my request and wait for an engineer sometime during the week (working hours Monday-Friday, which coincidentally are working hours for me as well so I would have to take leave from work).

The level of service is appalling and unacceptable - and the one reason I bought Samsung appliances is because I was told the service is "excellent". If someone is reading this complaint, I would like a call back from a supervisor and my ACs serviced at the earliest, please.
