[Resolved] Wishnet — Wishnet broadband are cheats and vandals | |||
Wishnet is a Kolkata based "ISP" that has a fancy website and that promises incredible things on it, but they are really a third rate operation with absolute third class infrastructure and service. Furthermore, they have gundas and vandals working for them who do not understand anything about the internet, internet speeds, or how to run an ISP and will instead harass you if you suggest cancellation. i've had terrible problems with wishnet after trying to get 1Mbps connection. their infrastructure cannot handle anything beyond 0.3Mbps-0.4Mbps downloads and they charge insane amounts for their connection, in addition to using old and outdated equipment. their connection is also extremely unstable. when i called repeatedly they were unable to do anything about it. finally, when i canceled after a month and signed with Airtel they refused to give me back my Rs. 1000 security deposit and sent their gundas to cut my airtel wire from outside my house!! Yes - they are such vandals. Don't do business with them - you'll be stuck with a third rate operation and third class service. Stick to the Tatas and Airtels of the world - they're far better. My pack is wish express a 2 mbps unlimited connection speed pack. I download files
always at 250 kbps. rarely does it comes below 230 kbps. Wishnet is just the ISP which
provides bandwidth and user management to the Sub-ISPs and in most cases these sub-ISPs
are the local cable connection provider. A lot depends on these cable people and if they dont
invest money for proper quality LAN switch or co-axial wire your download speeds will suffer
for sure. The sub-ISP from which I take my connection charges me 800 Rs extra for the wish
express pack and do you know why this 800 is being charged extra.
Actual 2mbps pack price by wishnet is 1999 but my local isp charges me Rs 2756 which
is expensive and I agree but they provide priority customer support and all support issues
are solved within 20-30 minutes without any questions asked. One time I was with a local
cable person who couldnt afford to invest but wanted to make lots of profit and though he didnt
charge extra and as a result there was almost no customer support and same day support unheard
off. There were frequent switch problems, cable problems but no support so I decided that I was better off
with paying extra.I do pay extra but also I receive great support and blazing fast download speeds.
Wishnet has a 24 hour dedicated customer helpline for people with speed problems or other.
But they cant help you if you are having ping packet loss or network cable unplugged. so first report
complaint with local isp then if not solved report to wishnet.
I have downloaded almost 10 gb in 2 days
