[Resolved]  Rediff.com Online Shopping Portal — Defective Goods Received

I am highlighting the series of events which took place regarding My Online Shopping Experience with Rediff.com Online Shopping site.

1. I had ordered my First Product (E table: Portable Laptop stand E table with 2 Usb Fan) with Rediff.com Online Shopping with Order Id: 7513051.


2. I had just received the Parcel Thru Cash on Delivery on 07/11/2012 and Paid the Amount of Rs. 710/- to Blue Dart Person who delivered the Parcel vide AWB No. [protected] and to my utter shock after opening the product I saw One of the legs broken in the Laptop Stand.

3. Immediately I called up the Customer service on 07/11/2012 at the Following number[protected]. As per the Information given by their Customer Service staff to resolve the Issue at the earliest for my Compliant No: 5129, Rediff.com's reference no. = "[protected]".I had sent them E-mail on 08/11/2012 with the Photographs of the Defective Product received by me.

4. I was hoping that this would not be my First and Last time that I would be shopping at Rediff.com and I am sure they would want me to shop again with them in the Future also.

5. They replied that they have not received the Photographs on 12/11/2012 so I again forwarded the same E-mail to them on 12/11/2012 and 16/11/2012 alongwith the Photographs.

6. I received a reply from Rediff.com on 17/11/2012 that states as under:-
Dear Brij,

Greetings from Rediff.com
We are sorry to note that the item that you have purchased through the order no:-7513051 is found damaged. This is a very rare and unfortunate case and we apologize for the same.

We request you to kindly send the item back to our seller within 7 working days mentioning the order number on the packet.

Items are to be returned with all accessories.

Careful attention is to be given with the packing of the product to avoid damage during transit.
Kindly do note: the above two points are to be strictly adhered to so that the sellers may process with a replacement.

Once the product has been dispatched from your end, kindly revert to this mail providing complete courier information and the courier charges borne. You may enclose the invoice for the courier charges that will be incurred by you to return the shipment. The same shall be reimbursed in the form of pay order.

7. Immediately on receipt of the above E-mail I made the Return Courier packet and send it back to the above Address on 19/11/2012. thru DTDC Courier vide Consignment No. D11254200.


8. I checked online and found that the Product which was sent back to their seller, Shopper52 by me has reached him / delivered to him on November 23, 2012. thru DTDC Courier vide Consignment No. D11254200.

9. I still did not hear from them and finally, I only had to call them on 02/12/2012 at their Customer Care Number[protected] and ask the status and then they E-mailed me on 04/12/2012 that they would be sending a refund by way of a Pay order.

10. Even after 15 days I did not receive any mail from them as to when I can expect a Refund from them in the form of a pay order. I received a mail on 24/12/2012 saying that we are sending a Pay order for the Amount paid by me for sending the return courier.

11. I received the Pay order for an amount of Rs.250/- the money I had spent in sending the courier back to Rediff.com’s seller. However on presenting the Pay order to my bank. The bank returned the instrument and I ended up paying additional charges for dishonour of Instrument. I sent them an E-mail again on 30/12/2012 stating that and confirming the same to Rediff.com. It’s been more than 15 days and I have not received a Complete refund of my Money.


12. The total monies to be paid to me now comes to Rs.1063/- and I am yet to receive my Demand Draft of the above amount even after their confirmation of sending me the money in 15 working days.

Now I only want that my Money be refunded to me at the earliest in the form of a Demand Draft.

Awaiting a quick resolution from your end.

Rediff Online Shopping — DENYING RECEIVAL OF CHEQUE

Hi
I purchased a book from rediff online shopping they told me to drop cheque in ICICI drop box cheque was on their name and now money id debited from my acount is clearly visible in my passbook too.
But rediff just says that we have not received any cheque.
that's all nothing else.
they asked a proof scanned copy of my passbook i sent them that.but now they are not replying any mail from past 15 days .and just say that they havent received any cheque
Please ask the banker to provide the details of amount debited from your account. I think that should solve the issue.
